WordSearch+ is a version of the popular word search puzzle or pastime, in which words are placed horizontally, vertically or diagonally in a letter grid, possibly written backwards, for you to find. WordSearch+ has the following features:

The WordSearch+ letter grid is generated on the fly from a word list of over 7500 words, so that you should never run out of different word searches to enjoy.

Ten given words are placed in the grid for you to find. In addition, two other words are placed in it that are not specified to you; you are, however, told the lengths of the two additional words (from 7-9 letters).

Volcano Free (v. 1.41)

Plug the volcano and stop it erupting.
  
Move or rotate a craft and catch falling blocks to create the plug, then move it into the crater so that it forms a perfect fit.  Then the darkness lifts and the sun comes out.

Sounds easy?  Just see how good your spatial awareness is as you create the shape one way up then turn it over ready to plug the volcano and realize you've got it wrong.  

And how are your reactions? Just when you think you're nearly there, you let a block slip by into the crater - and this deepens the crater and changes its shape.  And once you break through the crust, the volcano erupts and the game is over.  Or maybe you catch some extra blocks so you need to reshape the plug using the missiles that fire in from the side.

If you find other falling shapes games, such as Tetris, frustrating and addictive, we think you'll soon be hooked on Volcano.  

Note: ideally suited for larger screens and devices with fast processors, or for devices that can use a stylus rather than only a finger.  For example, works well with Samsung Galaxy S 2, but not ideal for Samsung Galaxy Europa.

Yak Free (v. 1.41)

Like  Yahtzee, Yak is a version of the Victorian dice game, Yacht, where you have up to three throws of the dice and have to score against one of fourteen scoring methods. Seven of these are concerned with counting spots on the dice, while the other seven are concerned with achieving certain predetermined patterns, e.g. a run from 2-6, two pairs, three the same, full house (2+3 the same) or Yak - five the same and giving the highest score available.

This version is designed for up to four players - each with their own dice and scorecard.  Also good as a pastime to practise your skills and beat your own record.

Tricolor Free (v. 1.41)

Tricolor is an original collapsing puzzle.   Click on a group of tiles of the same colour to remove them and watch the tiles above collapse.  

Your objective: to be left with a tricolor: three tiles - one of each colour - in the middle three columns.  Alternatively, just treat it as a game or pastime and enjoy making it collapse quickly.

The puzzle has a Rewind feature, so that you can go back to previous positions if you go wrong, and a Solve feature - just watch the computer solve the puzzle.

Turncoat Free (v. 1.41)

Turncoat is an original game from TopAccolades, designed by David Wolstenholme, for two players, with novel characteristics.

Although played on the same 8x8 board as Reversi (sold commercially as Othello), and using two-sided playing pieces, the mode of play is quite different:
a) Both players have their own boards;
b) All the pieces in play are already on the boards, with both players having identical layouts;
c) The players choose, in secret, which piece they wish to turn;
d) For each player, the selected piece is turned, as are any pieces trapped between this piece and another piece of the same colour;
e) Both players must then also turn the pieces selected by their opponent, again also turning any trapped pieces. All turning is, of course, carried out by the system based on the selections made.

The objective is to achieve a board with all pieces showing black.

Towers of Hanoi Free (v. 1.41)

A classic puzzle where there are three poles and six different-sized discs on one of these.  The objective is to move them one at a time to try to achieve the same order on a different pole - but you can never put a larger disc on top of a smaller one.

Treble Whammy Free (v. 1.41)

Treble Whammy is an absorbing, attractive collapsing game, puzzle and pastime, similar to Bejeweled.

The basic idea is just so simple: select two adjacent tiles that can be swapped to form a row or column of three or more of the same pattern. Those tiles are removed and the ones above collapse (and replacements made so that the frame is always full).   This may create further lines of three or more, and further collapsing.

Score a point for each tile removed, and bonuses: for lines of 4 or more, for removing both selected tiles and for each cycle of subsequent collapses.

Unique three-row hopper so that you can see what's coming and plan to optimize your score.

Numbers Game Free (v. 1.41)

Select high numbers and low numbers one by one until you have six, then, before the countdown ends, try to reach a target number by adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing these numbers.  Play against others or just practise.

The target number can be random, or can have a known solution. Either way, you can ask to see the solution generated by the system (or the nearest that can be found).

Step Challenge is a mathematical challenge.

Starting with a given in the first line, just carry out the operations specified on each line to derive a final answer. Each operation acts on the result of the line above. As you progress, you can, if you like, click on the result box of any line to confirm all the results down to that point.

There are three levels of difficulty, each with a suggested time in which to complete the challenge, from a 30-second challenge upwards.
