James O’Barr, the legendary creator of “The Crow”, is proud to present “Sundown”.
“Sundown” is brought to life through mesmerizing, full-color painted panels that have been taken to the next level with the technology of animation on mobile devices. “Sundown” has jumped into the 21st century as a pioneer in the motion comic realm. The story takes place in a post-Civil War America set in 1870. The dark, historically based tale is described by the artist as a “Gothic Western”. Four unforgettable characters are brought to life: Krait, Lucy, Roy and Zuzu the Horse. O’Barr states, “It’s my attempt at recreating the Western. It’s sort of a Wizard of OZ tale where the characters are on a journey for something they think they want, but end up realizing what they so much wanted turns out to be completely different.”
