SMS Sounds allows you to set custom text tones, vibrations, and LED Colors* for each of your contacts! This app is very small compared to the full service SMS applications. It will not bloat your phone as it is designed to be used in addition to the default messaging software on your phone.

You can setup every contact with a different ring so you know when to leave the phone on the couch and not reply to them for an hour. Or, you will know when to look at your phone immediately as your curiosity gets aroused as you’ve been waiting for their text.

*Some phones do not allow the color of the LED light to be altered. We cannot guarantee this app will allow you to change its color.

Steps for using SMS Sounds:

1. Turn off the default ringtone in the Messaging app. Run the Messaging app. Click Menu > Settings > Select ringtone > Silent. If you can disable vibrations in the Messaging settings, we recommend you do that also as the app now features vibrations. If not, go to Settings > Sounds > Vibration > Never.

2. Tap the “+” and setup your contacts with their own custom notifications. You can edit them at any time by tapping on the contact in the home screen (be sure to click save before exiting the screen).

3. Tap the "s" and setup the default notification sounds you had to disable in step 1 for the app to work properly.

FYI:
This version includes all the features of the paid version. However, to keep the app free we've included a banner ad as well as an interstitial ad upon exiting the app. This will help us keep the app compatible with all future versions of Android. Please purchase the paid version if you like the app and do not want the ads.

FAQ’s:

Q: Why am I unable to assign a contact group a tone?

A: We promote individualism and do not support group tones at this time.

Q: I setup a contact but the phone doesn’t ring when they send me a text.

A: This occurs when the incoming number does not match the number in your contacts. If they do not match exactly, the phone will not sound off. The most common issue is that you do not have the country code included in the contact number. For example, you have a contact setup as 20 1234 5678 and the user is from the United Kingdom. You need to edit the contact to 44 20 1234 5678 and then go back into the ringtone setup in SMS Sounds and select a tone for the new entry. (United States example: 123-456-7890 needs to be 1-123-456-7890)

Q: Why do I get two notifications for every SMS text I receive?

A: This common problem occurs when you have a notification tone set in the Messaging app you use. You will need to set the sound to silent by going into the Messaging app then click menu to go to the Settings > Select Ringtone > Set as Silent. Don’t ask me how to shut them off for other custom applications, I didn’t develop them and I certainly don’t recommend them!

Q: Why am I not able to see all my ringtones (internal or external)?

A: SMS messages are handled via notifications. Your sound files (ex: .ogg, .wav, .mp3, etc) have to be within a folder labeled “notifications” to be recognized by the application. IMPORTANT: I recommend you try the A1 Pager (Lite) version to test whether A1 Pager works with your pager carrier before purchasing the professional version. Both applications use the same technology so if you can receive a page from the Lite version you will be able to receive it from the Pro version.

A1 Pager (Pro) allows you to send alphanumeric pages from your Android powered phone! The medical industry relies heavily upon the use of pagers and now you can communicate with them using this application.

It lets you send pages to the contacts already stored on your phone, send an Ad Hoc page to a phone number you enter, and keeps a history of all pages sent. If you encounter errors using A1 Pager (Pro), please contact me at contact@estmpgapp.com to report issues, bugs, or feature requests.

***A1 Pager (Pro) provides access to pager numbers already stored in your contacts, it logs your sent messages, and it has a replay button that allows you to re-send a message to a different contact. (WARNING: Using the replay button too many times in succession can be deemed as sending an excessive number of pages by the paging network. They reserve the right to suspend pages from your phone to their network if this occurs. We recommend not sending more than 10 pages in a five minute time period to avoid being suspended.)

A1 Pager cannot guarantee the delivery of pages being sent from mobile devices. It should not be used in an emergency where failure of delivery will cause potential harm or financial loss.

A1 Pager allows you to enter alphanumeric pages of up to 499 characters but the true limitation is based upon the number of characters the pager can receive. Numeric pages MAY work but be aware the message should be significantly shorter. This application is NOT specifically designed to transmit numeric pages.

You do not need telephony service to send pages but you must have an internet connection and be connected in order to send them using A1 Pager.

SMS Reply App is an SMS marketing application that responds to incoming messages that contain a specific message or response code. You can now run a SMS marketing campaign from your own Android phone! All you have to is get customers to text a specific response code (ex: HOUSE01) to your mobile phone number. When the customer sends the text containing the response code, your phone will automatically respond with the custom response you have created. The app records the number of the person who sent you the message, the message they sent, and the date and time so that you can follow up on any leads! This is a great application for realtors, automobile salesmen, and when posting want ads.

SMS messages received that contain a response code you have setup are saved to a database. You can view how many times your phone has responded to each message in the Statistics function. It will show you how many times it responded in the past 7, 14, 30, and 90 days. You are also able to text or call back each contact from the app.

IMPORTANT: The Lite version of the SMS Reply App is a trial version that allows you to test the functionality of the application prior to purchasing the Pro version. The Lite version does not allow you to add your own response codes. It is pre-populated with five codes: <blank>, CRAIG01, EBAY01, HOUSE01, MISC01, and VEHICLE01. Test these codes and their response by sending yourself an SMS text message containing any of the response codes. You should receive an SMS response with the custom message which is editable. SMS Reply App is a text message auto response app. You can now run a SMS marketing campaign from your own Android phone! You can long press an item in the list view to either call or send an SMS to that number.

Possible Uses:
Selling your own car; Put a sign on your car with a message to text a specific message like "BUYME" to your phone. Put the details of your vehicle in your custom response. You won't have to answer multiple calls regarding interest in your car.

Promoting events; Setup a code "FridayNightParty" and put the event and location in your response message. Then you don't have to respond to each person individually!

Server maintenance; Setup the code "Server0001" with the response code "The server is currently down and will be back online within two hours."

est MPG App (US) (v. 1.0.2)

The est MPG App provides estimated MPG (miles per gallon) and annual fuel cost information on U.S. vehicles from 1984 to present. The database contains over 24,000 entries for cars, trucks, SUVs, multi purpose vehicles, and more. This information is obtained from the Environmental Protection Agency's vehicle database.

This app is an excellent resource when researching new and used vehicles and is the first of its kind on the Android platform. Since the database is downloaded onto your device, you can use the search functions even when you aren't connected.

Known Issue:
If the database didn't download completely or the download was interrupted, the data can become corrupt and will cause the application to crash. To fix the database, go to the download database screen and re-download the database.
