If you know you need a VPN service, then simply give this one a try; it's worth it. If you're not sure, just keep reading.

PandaPow VPN lets you surf the unblocked US version of the Internet no matter where you are. This comes in handy in places where Internet otherwise is censored, or if you're abroad and want to use a site that only works for US users.

Furthermore, with PandaPow you surf the web anonymously, since it hides your smartphone or computer's real IP address.

IMPORTANT: You will need a subscription to use this service beyond a free trial period. Subscription options available are:

A subscription also includes PandaPow for PC, Mac, and iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod). You can sign up for a free trial via the app. If the signup doesn't work for some reason, send us an email and we'll sign you up manually (after a short while).

Support: if you try and it doesn't connect, please tap the in-app Help button, to send us relevant device info. It only takes 2 seconds to do, and we do reply to all reports (usually really fast). Writing a bad review in Android market might make you feel better, but it won't really help anyone.

NOTE: If you wonder why this apps wants to read the system log, it's to diagnose connection problems. Only data pertinent to the connection problem is extracted and it is only transmitted off the device (to our support team) via email if the user chooses to (tap Help>Send).

NOTE2: On Android only 1 VPN connection can be up at a time. If you try connecting PandaPow it will cause any other VPN to be disconnected.

Connecting to VPN has never been easier.

Many people use VPN for secure remote access, remote desktop or just for unblocking web sites. The native Android support for VPN requires lots of tapping, and typing a password to connect.

With 1 VPN you can establish a VPN connection in a single tap. In addition, the Tasker/Locale plug-in feature lets you  establish automatic VPN connections.

1. 1 VPN tap: Menu>Preferences
2. Scroll to the bottom.
3. Check "Fix for Galaxy devices"

As you can read in the FAQ, this app is based on Android's built-in support for VPN. Unfortunately this also means that it has the same limitations as Android. So we hope you won't blame the app for the limitations it inherits from Android, there's not much we can do about it.

This app has been verified to work on all versions of Android up to, and including, 2.3.4. There are custom ROMs that seems to have issues, however.

The 'm' in the version name stands for 'market' version. There's also a non-market version (without the m) available from our site. The two versions (i.e. 1.4m and 1.4) are identical, save for the way they are purchased and license protected.

If you need time to evaluate the app, and don't want to spend any money before doing so, then download it from our site. It gives you 48 hrs free trial, which should be plenty of time. Note that you must enable non-market apps to install it.

This app lets you store your VPN password and provides a short cut to the built-in Android VPN Settings. This will save you time when connecting.

Thanks to all of you that have given us nice and constructive comments. To the trolls that add negative comments without any idea of why and how to use this app, please get a life...

This app is for you if you already have a working VPN configured and want to connect it easier.

If you are looking for a VPN to unblock facebook, or similar, then you should check out the PandaPow app (which costs money to use).

If you have problems connecting to a VPN, you should probably ask the VPN server administrator for help.

For the rest of you, here are instructions how to use this app:
1. Install the 5 VPN widget (long press on home screen)
2. Tap the widget.
3. Fill in the password of your VPN account.
4. Click connect. This will put the password in the clip board and launch the Android built-in VPN Settings (you may need to choose the "Settings" from a list).
5. Click on the VPN you wish to connect. Note: this assumes you have already configured the VPN.
6. Paste the password from the clipboard.
7. Connect.

Next time you click the widget you will go straight to step 5, since you already have a stored password.

If you only want a shortcut and don't want to save a password, simply fill in some dummy password.

If you want to change the stored password, you must open the app, clicking the widget will take you straight to the Android VPN Settings.
