Why not provide some entertainment for mundane counting tasks? Simply tap anywhere on the screen and watch as your tallies spiral out of control. Don't want to watch? no need to with vibration feedback. Currently only supports counting by one in any direction.



Colored total displays the tally total as well as the counting direction.
- Green for Incrementing direction
- Yellow for Decrementing direction
- Red for corrections

Use the back button for corrections or shake to reset.

Change the LED alert color of your SMS and Missed call notifications.  You must disable your default notifications in order for Notifire to work.

NOTE:  this is an ALPHA release.  It may have bugs or function incorrectly.  Feedback, bug reporting and suggstions are all appreciated.  Future releases will support google voice, gmail, low battery, voicemail, etc.

A simple prime number finding app. Can find the highest prime number within a range, list all prime numbers from 1 to the entered number, or find a prime factorization.

Warning: The app will freeze while it is calculating the prime numbers. It takes longer depending on your device and how high of a number you entered. Finding the highest prime is faster then finding them all. Please note that this does not mean your device itself with freeze, but the app will be frozen while it is calculating.

Note: In a Version 1.2.2, there was an error when the "List All" function did not list the right numbers. This has been fixed in the current version.

Voice Notify announces status bar notification messages using Text-To-Speech (TTS), allowing you to know what a notification says without looking at the screen.

In Android 3.0 and above, toast (bubble) notifications will also be read.

PERMISSIONS:
Bluetooth - Required to detect whether Bluetooth headset is connected.
Vibrate - Required for Test option while in vibrate mode on Android 4.2.


For technical reasons, VN operates through Android's Accessibility service and must be enabled in the Accessibility settings.
For convenience, options are provided on the main screen to go to the Accessibility and TTS settings.
Android 1.5 is not supported since it doesn't have the Accessibility service.
Just to be clear, VN is intended to be a convenience tool and is not an accessibility tool.

The Accessibility service will give a warning that VN may be able to collect personal data. This is because Accessibility doesn't know what or how data passing through it is used by enabled apps. VN only uses Accessibility to read notification text which is passed directly to TTS and temporary memory (for the notification log). The TTS service (outside the control of VN) may also print spoken text in the logcat.


CAUTION:
Be aware of the accessibility apps that are enabled when you enable VN! To my understanding, the screwing up phone behavior mentioned in some comments is caused by other accessibility apps that were enabled when Accessibility was turned on. If you believe this is not the case and VN is causing these issues for you, please contact me.


ABOUT AUDIO STREAM OPTION:
Note that behavior of audio streams may vary by device or Android version, or my information could be incorrect as I've been unable to test them myself, so take these tips with a grain of salt.

Media stream if you want...
-the volume of VN to match most other apps.
-VN to speak without interrupting audio from other apps (e.g. music).
-VN to speak through an A2DP-compatible Bluetooth device.

Notification stream if you want...
-the volume of VN to match other notification sounds.
-other apps to be silenced while VN speaks.
-VN to use the speaker while a Bluetooth headset is connected.

Easy Units is a measurement converter that is intended to be easy to use and contain common units of measure which people might encounter in their everyday lives. It also includes some uncommon units, in case anyone needs them. Currently, Metric (SI), US Customary Units, Canadian Units, and British Imperial Units are all supported.

As the name implies, Easy Units is much easier to use than many other measurement converters. You simply press the button for the type of measurement you would like to convert (distance, speed, weight, etc.), enter the number you would like to convert in the text box at the top of the screen, select the unit to convert from on the left, select the unit to convert to on the right, and press the convert button at the bottom of the screen. The result will be calculated and displayed at the bottom of the screen. When you are ready to convert another number, you simply press the 'Reset' button at the top of the screen and enter the new information. After each conversion, a convenient scale is displayed at the bottom of the screen, consisting of two bars, which show a size comparison of the two units of measure selected in the conversion. The smaller unit is displayed in the top bar, and the larger unit is displayed in the bottom bar.

Input is very user friendly, allowing whole numbers, decimals, and even fractions. Whole numbers of up to 40 digits may be entered, and fractions may contain up to 10 digits in either the numerator or the denominator. Fractions are automatically converted to decimals. Excessively small or large numbers are automatically converted to scientific notation, while all other numbers are displayed in decimal format. The app also allows input of negative temperatures.

Units are listed in order from smallest to largest, first in metric (SI) and then the non-metric units of measure.

Shows battery charge in 1% steps for Motorola Defy and Milestone 2 (and since 1.1 for most other android phones). MotoCharge is a notification App/widget that shows the remaining battery power of the device in the notification bar. Unlike similar Applications it will show 1% steps for the Motorola Defy and Milestone 2 (probably for most other phones as well).
