Scope Companion is software for computing performance parameters of optical equipment for astronomy,
primarily designed for telescope novices and first-time buyers of optical systems.

Upon input of basic specifications, such as aperture and focal length, Scope Companion calculates the ideal performance of the optics and plots a performance graph. Performance data can also be calculated for binoculars.

The imaging section calculates the field of view with a given CCD camera and lens/scope configuration. The data can be visually confirmed by means of a simulation against the surface of the moon.

Additional helper functions include a star transit counter for measuring the field of view of an eyepiece, a dew point estimator, a compass, polar finder circle and an image orientation simulator.

The author welcomes friendly feedbacks in particular regarding screen layout.

This app reads an apk file from a url and then ask you to approve the
installation (do not think it can be done automatically).
It also checks periodically if there is a new version to download.
You may be wondering what on earth this is good for!
I use it when I develop apps for IOIO (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10748).
IOIO is a microcontroller connected to the USB port on an Android phone.
You are unable to connect IOIO with Android emulator, so I created this app to
easily upload and test new versions of my IOIO applications on my phone.
In other words, as soon as you put a new version of the apk file (new modification date) on your web server, PhoneDeployApp will triggers an installation of it on your phone.

The pioneering Android overclocking utility “Afterburner APP” was co-developed by MSI and well-known software programmer "Nick Connors". The new Afterburner utility allows the Android-based smartphones and tablets to adjust or monitor Afterburner settings on PC over a Wi-Fi connection. In addition to monitoring the temperature, voltage and fan speed, the utility can also be used for overclocking and overvoltaging!

Quick installation guide:

Before you want to test MSI Afterburner APP on Android Phone/tablet, you will need:

1. A windows xp sp3 (with .NET 2)/vista/7 system with a discrete graphics card and is able to connect to internet/intranet.
2. An android cellphone or tablet has wifi function. (the O/S should be higher v2.1)
3. The system and cellphone or tablet can connect to each other over internet or intranet.

“RemoteServer” is a utility which should be placed in the system. Just make sure all files are under in the same folder.
“MSIAfterburner.apk” is an app which should be installed in Android cellphone or tablet.

Make sure the system has installed the afterburner 2.1.0 or above version, and it has to be started so RemoteServer can read the H/W status through it.

How to work - Step by step:

1. Put the folder for RemoteServer on desktop for easy access
2. Run Afterburner (2.1.0 or above version)
3. Run "MSIAfterburnerRemoteServer.exe" to open up the RemoteServer
4. Verify that the remoteServer is running in background
5. Run Afterburner APP on Android cellphone or tablet
6. Enter the system IP (you can find ip over RemoteServer) into the IP settings of Afterburner APP to make a connection of Afterburner APP and Remote Server.
7. If the monitoring and OC funtions work properly, now it's time to enjoy it!

BTW, each clock/voltage/fan adjustment over afterburner app, you will have to press "apply"!

SecureOTP Android for Bizライセンス契約

利用者が本アプリをダウンロードした場合、自ら署名した他の契約書と同様、利用者が本契約を承認したものと看做します。利用者が本契約の規定に同意しない場合は、本アプリダウンロードサイト上の [同意しない] ボタンをクリックすることが、利用者が本契約不承認の意思表示の要件となります。

1.ライセンスの許諾
利用者が本サービスに関わる所定の料金を当社に対して支払い、本契約の規定を遵守することを条件に、当社は利用者に対し、利用者の所有または管理する特定の1台の機器において、本アプリを個人的、非営利的に使用する非排他的、譲渡不可のライセンスを許諾するものとします。
　
2.有効期間
本契約の有効期間は、本アプリを特定の1台の機器に本アプリをダウンロードした日より3年間とします。
ただし、マニュアル、WEBサイトまたはREADME等に記載されている場合は、その期限が優先されます。
本契約が終了、または本契約有効期間が満了、または理由の如何を問わず機器の変更、交換した場合は、利用者は本アプリの使用を止め、本アプリおよびマニュアルのすべてのコピーを当該機器から削除しなければなりません。

3.機器の盗難・紛失の対応
利用者は、本アプリをインストールした機器の盗難、紛失などにより、本サービスを利用できなくなった場合は、当社所定の手続きにより申し出るものとします。

4.所有権
本アプリは日本の著作権法により保護されています。当社は本アプリの一切の権利、権限および持分につき、本アプリに含まれるすべての著作権、特許、商標、営業秘密、その他の知的財産権を所有し維持しています。
本アプリの所有やインストール、または使用などにより、知的財産権に関する権利が当社から利用者に譲渡されるものではありません。利用者はさらに、本契約に明示的に規定されていない限り、本アプリのいかなる権利も取得するものではありません。

5.アップデート
本契約は、利用者がダウンロードした際の本アプリのバージョンに限定されています。
別途契約が締結されているか、明示されている場合を除き、アップデートバージョンの入手は有償となります。

6.禁止事項
利用者は本アプリを、有償または無償を問わず、販売、リース、ライセンス、レンタル、貸与、または譲渡することはできません。
利用者は、本アプリの複製、リバース エンジニアリング、逆コンパイル、または逆アセンブルすることはできません。
利用者は、本アプリの一部または全部を修正し、または本アプリに基づく二次的著作物を創作することはできません。
本契約に明示的に記載されていない全ての権利は、当社が保有するものとします。
利用者は、本アプリを違法に公序良俗に反する目的のために使用することはできません。

7.限定責任
どのような状況及び法理論においても、当社は、不法行為、契約、またはその他に関わらず、どのような性質の間接的、付随的、派生的又は特別な損害に対しても、利用者又はその他の人物に対して責任をもつものではありません。

8.管轄裁判所
本契約に関する紛争は、東京地方裁判所を第一審の専属的合意管轄裁判所とします。

本規約は2011年6月1日から実施します。
