== Why snipe? ==

As eBay is using proxy bidding, legitimate question is – why snipe at all? If you submit your bid at eBay early, and if your maximum bid is higher than that of a sniping user, you will win regardless. While this fact is true, user experience and even some scientific research conducted says that sniping does pay. Here are some reasons why.

1. Your early bid is an important information for other bidders. This specially applies to rare items, value of which is directly determined by interest. Other bidders may realize true value of an item only after you submit your bid. By bidding early, you are helping them, and that’s against your own interest.

2. Bidders tend to be overly optimistic, and therefore enter value lower than what they are really ready to pay. Leave them time to bid again after being outbid, and you will end up paying more, or lose the item you are bidding on.

3. Bidders get excited during auctions, and are often ready to bid way more than what is rational.

4. Ever been victim of shill bidding? It’s a fraudulent practice used by some sellers to inflate the price of an item by using another eBay ID to bid on their own item (and retracting bid if they go too far. Be especially careful if bidders’ IDs are kept private). If you use sniping, fraudulent sellers have no time to conduct shill bidding.

Bluetooth Shortcut is what you need if you use bluetooth a lot, and want to be able to turn it on or off as quickly as possible in any application.

Some Samsung phones have a widget built into the notification bar that allows you to toggle settings (powerbar widget notifications), however this is only available on those phones.  If you want this just for Bluetooth, then this is the application you need.  

You simply have to swipe down the notification bar from within any app, including internet, market, pandora, etc, and you can just tap the notification and you will toggle your bluetooth.  Much better than applications that sit on your home screen, because you don't have to be on your homescreen to toggle this one!

Reasons this is better than a homescreen toggle:

1.  You can do it from anywhere, not just your homescreen
2.  You can see easily on the top of the screen if bluetooth is on or off (different image based on what state it is in)
3.  Mimics custom UI designed for samsung phones

This app is turning your phone into an easy accessible wifi portable disk just like a usb pen drive (and it's wireless!)
You can access entire file system inside your phone over wifi in a secured way.

# If you're using windows machine, you can upload/download multiple files and directories to the phone using file explorer by connecting to the generated IP address shown on Dropbox. (See screenshot)

#. FTP Box is a considered by many to be a highly secured application. it asks users to grant permission every time a new connection is established and when a file or directory is removed from the file explorer.

HOWTO:
1. Open internet explorer and go to menu tool -> Internet Options -> Advanced

2. Close all internet explorers and file explores.

Do you have trouble waking up in the morning? Or do you keep hitting the snooze button every time the alarm goes off?  If so try this MathAlarm app.  It's just like any other alarm but when it goes off, a math problem will pop up and you have to solve the problem in order to dismiss the alarm.

Voxme Inventory is a packing inventory recording and printing application that allows crew men, drivers and supervisors to quickly record detailed packing lists, print off the packing list in any language over Bluetooth onto any mobile printer, sign the customer on the screen and send completed inventories back to the office. Alien Names (v. 1.2)

WHAT IT IS: ALIEN NAMES generates fanciful but usually pronounceable or at least readable names of aliens, planets, worlds, places, galaxies ... whatever YOUR imagination conceives of and needs to label.

WHAT IT DOES: This app is really a creativity generator and enhancer for science fiction writers, game developers, comic book authors, role playing gamers, et al. The trillions of possible names you can generate with this app are yours free to use.

HOW IT WORKS: ALIEN NAMES uses patterns of consonants (C) and vowels (V) in creating names. The patterns in this app produce a wide range of amazing alien words. More patterns are being developed and tested for forthcoming upgrades.

BUT SOME START DIFFERENTLY THAN THE PATTERN? To makes names even more ‘alien’ I have a variable I call PREPEND that randomly adds something to the front of the pattern, but the basic patterns match what’s on the pattern button, such as CVCVC.

30 YEARS IN THE MAKING: I first published versions of this technique in RECREATIONAL COMPUTING in 1980 and in onCOMPUTING magazine later that same year. The program was also mentioned in the February 1980 ISAAC ASIMOV’S SF Magazine.

BASIC NAMES: In 1985 I released a compiled BASIC program also called ALIEN NAMES as shareware. For a decade and more, I got the occasional check, some from places like South Africa, Germany, and other countries.

REBOL with a cause:  In 1999, I wrote ALIEN NAMES yet again using the powerful REBOL scripting language. (rebol.com, "It's Perl without the complication.") I also wrote a book about REBOL entitled REBOL FOR DUMMIES.

NEW WORLDS: Time marches on. As I discover new scripting languages, ALIEN NAMES often gets coded first just to see the language's flexibility. I learn by playing ;-).

Some implementations require effort, others do not. REBOL was easy. Doing it in HTML/OS was incredibly fast and simple. I’ve also done PHP and Python versions.

ContactIO - Contact Sharing (v. 1.4.3)

Using the standard Android platform, it's difficult to share a selection of your contacts with other people. Although individual contacts can be exported to a vCard, there is no simple and easy way to share a subset of your contacts with other people.

With ContactIO, Contact Sharing becomes easy, as it allows you to share a selection of your contacts with other people by exporting and sending them in an easy way, using a variety of formats.

Simply select the contacts that you want to share, and have ContactIO share the contacts in a variety of different ways

* have ContactIO generate an email with a vCard attachment including your selected contacts.
* have ContactIO generate a vCard and put it on the filesystem / dropbox.
* have ContactIO generate an MMS with a vCard attachment (needs to be supported by your phone).
* have ContactIO generate an SMS/MMS with your contacts embedded in it.

Share the selected contacts by sending the email/file/sms to one or more recipients from your contact list.

Using ContactIO, you can import/export all your contacts from your address book in bulk from one phone to another.

ContactIO copies telephone/cellphone numbers, email / postal addresses, and organizational information.

It allows you to export it to a vCard 2.1 format that can be interpreted by other Android phones.

That way, selective contact sharing (with a clean email integration) becomes very easy.

On the receiving end, the vCard can be processed using ContactIO directly from the mail application. The receiver will be presented with a screen containing the contacts sent to him/her, allowing the receiver to select whatever contacts that he/she wants to import onto the phone.

ContactIO also allows you to process vCards located on the phone SDCard.
By doing so, ContactIO allows you to inspect the vCard and select the contacts you're interested in to import on your phone.
