We (ArrSoft, ArrSoft.com) are not associated with popurls® (a registered trademark) other than we use their wonderful sites. Popurls decribes themselves as “the dashboard for the latest web-buzz, a single page that encapsulates up-to-the-minute headlines from the most popular sites on the internet.”

This app – written in Basic4Android – is meant to be simply a shortcut to popurls and all those fascinating links they provide. We offer no warranty expressed or implied.

We have added a feature you might find useful, however. When you want to share a link for a site, simply tap your phone’s Menu button and you can email a link to whoever you like.

Menu options also allow you to read the About page, reset the app (return to the main popurl entry page), and exit cleanly, removing the app from memory.

A handy link (and that's all it is, just a link) to eBay's mobile site.

We have no association with eBay other than having bought and sold tons of stuff on this premiere auction site since the 1990s.

The eBay logo is a registered trademark of eBay.

For those that might be curious, this app (although popular) is just a learning exercise. Originally written in App Inventor, with version 1.3 we switched it over to Basic4Android so that we could have use of the hardware Back button. This also make the app smaller and faster. I wrote the first version of GALACTIC HEADLINES in 1980 for one of the computer magazines. It’s one of my “play” programs used to help master new languages. The database (accessed over the Internet and will only work if you have web access) is the original one from 1980, typos and all. This version generates literally trillions of headlines.

Since 1980 I've written over 100 books, most of which have been computer related. Currently I am writing GOOGLE APP INVENTOR BY EXAMPLE (this app was done in App Inventor). I have fun!
