No hands-free voice dialing button on your Bluetooth (BT) headset or car audio system? This app gives you four alternatives!
1) Home Screen Widget. Press the button to simulate a hands-free button press, which starts a Bluetooth Voice Dialer. Four sizes: 1x1, 2x1, 3x1, and 4x1.
2) Simulate a hands-free button press when you press a Bluetooth AVCRP media button (play/pause, next, or previous)
3) A home screen shortcut that simulates a hands-free button press
4) A Car Home shortcut that simulates a hands-free button press

I highly recommend also installing Hands-Free Voice Dialer! ( https://market.android.com/details?id=com.resounding.choicedialer.free2 ) It is a free hands-free voice dialer with voice confirmations.
HOW TO USE THE WIDGET:
To use the widget, from your home screen, press and hold on an empty space and choose Add -> Widgets -> BT Voice Dial.
WIDGET VS. SHORTCUT:
The widget can turn on Bluetooth automatically, check if a Bluetooth headset is connected, and automatically open the Bluetooth settings if one is not connected.
The shortcut just simulates a hands-free button press (whether or not a Bluetooth headset is connected).
CONFIGURATION:
Launch the "BT Voice Dial Preferences" app.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
* You can use a third-party app that responds to hands-free events. I highly recommend "Hands-Free Voice Dialer" from https://market.android.com/details?id=com.resounding.choicedialer.free2&feature=search_result
* To ensure the phone has a Voice Dialer app, add the BT Voice Dial shortcut to your home screen. When you press it, it tries to launch the Voice Dialer app. Voice Dialer is part of Android 2.2 and later, but if nothing happens, this means the phone manufacturer did not include it! This is known to occur on HTC Desire HD, Samsung Captivate, others (please let me know)? In this case you'll need to use a third-party voice dialing app.
* Some car stereos do not send the forward/backward media button events until after the play button is pressed once.
* Some manufacturers modify the Car Home app such that you cannot add custom shortcuts (LG G2x, others?). You may be able to work around by searching "gapps" and installing the Car Home.
* You may need to install voice data from Settings -> Voice Input & Output -> Text-to-speech settings -> Install voice data on some phones (LG G2X, others?)
* Voice Dialer vs. Voice Search: Voice Dialer is part of Android 2.2 (Froyo) and later. Its speech recognition is done on the phone. Voice Search, on the other hand, sends your voice to Google's servers for analysis, which requires a data connection. Voice Search tends to be more accurate, but Voice Dialer does not need a data connection, so it always works while driving.
