Departure Assistant helps you keep to your schedule. It is a GPS based appointment reminder app based on distance and travel time to an appointment, rather than simply the advance notice time that regular calendars offer.

Need to be at work every day for 9 AM? Set up a recurring appointment in Departure Assistant to calculate your departure time. If everything is going according to plan, Departure Assistant will remain silent. If time slips away, Departure Assistant will spring to action and notify you when it’s time to get going.

Or perhaps you want to leave work on certain days to attend a kid’s soccer game or music practice and not have to worry about getting caught up in something and losing track of time. If you do not leave in time based on where you have to go, it will warn you that you better leave.

Departure Assistant knows how far away you are from any appointment as the appointment time approaches. It knows how to navigate to the appointment location, and from navigation data it knows the travel time required to get to the appointment. It will warn you a few minutes in advance of when you should be leaving for an appointment. It can also warn you when you must leave to make it on time or be late. Finally, it can let you know if you are actually running late.

Home on Time helps you ensure your teenager is making it safely home on time after school while you are at work or late at night while you are sleeping.

You get peace of mind in knowing your teenager is making it home from school safely while you are at work. When your teenager gets home each day, they simply send a message to your phone which will cancel an alarm on your phone. If your phone does not receive a message, you are alerted and you can investigate.

You can ensure your teenager is making a late curfew while you are sleeping. When your teenager gets home, they send a message to your phone to cancel an alarm. If there is no message, the alarm will wake you and you can call your teenager.

There are three ways to use this app. The first way requires only a cell phone for the teen while the second and third ways require a smart phone for the teen with this app installed on it.

Way #1) When they arrive home, they send a text message to you that contains a passcode. The passcode was left by you in the house for them to retrieve and text you when they get home. (Change the passcode each time.)

Way #2) When they arrive home, they press a Home Now button which sends a message containing the GPS coordinates of your home. The coordinates in the message are compared to the coordinates of your home.

Way# 3) When they arrive home, they press a Home Now button which sends a message containing the name of your home Wifi network that they connect to when they arrive home.

Any of these three ways can be used by a parent to verify your teen is safe at home.

Note that with today's teens being so technically astute, the message also contains a signature to prevent possible tampering.

What is the actual, real rate of return on a bond investment? This app calculates the yield for a bond given its purchase price, or its purchase price given a desired yield. Covers all cases, even zero coupon bonds.

Calculates original coupon yield, current coupon yield, yield to maturity, and annualized yield to maturity.

Calculates accrued interest, clean bond price, and dirty bond price.

When quoted a purchase price and yield for a bond, you can compare the numbers to these calculations for accuracy and to see the commission.

What is the actual rate of return on a stock investment?

Are you factoring in dividends, commissions, and taxes?  These either lower or raise the actual rate of return. The Stock Return Calculator can give you a very accurate, true indication of how a stock is performing as an investment.

The Stock Return Calculator covers several situations from the most basic to complex. It computes both simple rate of return and annualized rate of return based on settings you can choose.

You can choose options to subtract commission costs, add dividends, subtract capital gain tax, subtract dividend tax, or add call option premiums.

You can assume your covered call options were exercised to see your eventual rate of return.

You can use Time Check Teen to check that your teenager is safe at a certain time.

Time Check Teen is for the teenager phone, and Time Check Parent is for the parent phone. The two apps are needed on the two phones so they can work together.

Suppose your teenager has a midnight curfew to be home on Saturday night. You might be sleeping or at another place, and you could use a way to check that your teenager makes it home safely by midnight. You can be alerted if your teenager does not make it home on time.

You could also use it to check your teenager makes it home safely from school each day while you are at work. Again, you can be notified if your teenager does not make it home on time.

The app works by having your teenager press a Now Home button when they arrive home. The teenager’s phone then sends a message to the parent phone, and cancels a scheduled alarm on the parent phone. If the message is not sent, the alarm will not be cancelled on the parent phone and the parent will be alerted or notified.

The message contains GPS and Wifi location information of the teenager's phone so it can be automatically verified that the teenager is at their home location.

Rescue Me! (v. 1.4)

Rescue Me! is used for a call for help or assistance. You set up a help me message that might be sent in the future to certain people.

At the future time, you will be asked if you wish to cancel the sending of the help message. If you are unable to cancel it, the message is sent for help.

The message will be sent to primary and secondary contact phones and email addresses. The message may be configured to include your physical location (this option requires GPS enabled on your device).

You can use Rescue Me! as a way to regularly check on an older parent living at home alone. You can set up the app on your parent's phone so that your parent can confirm each day that everything is ok. If something bad happens and your parent cannot confirm, you can be alerted with a message and you can phone or visit them.

You can use Rescue Me! to be helped from a long meeting at work. Suppose you are going to a meeting that you know might be very long or very boring. You can set up the app to silently ask you during the meeting if you wish to stay in the meeting. If you do not wish to stay, a message will be sent to someone outside the meeting so they can phone or retrieve you from the meeting.

You can use Rescue Me! to be rescued if you become lost. Suppose you are going on a long hike, walk, or bicycle ride where there is no phone coverage. You can leave your phone in your car or at home and set it up to ask you at a certain time if you are back from your hike and you are ok. If you are not back in time, a message will be sent to someone so they can begin searching for you.
