Sporty's Study Buddy will prepare you for the FAA written test like no other study tool available, with three modes of operation - learning mode, simulated tests and flashcards.
Learning Mode allows you to create custom review sessions by selecting exactly which categories you want to review. Each session randomly generates the question order, and provides instant feedback based on your answer selection. Each question also provides a detailed description as to why each answer is right or wrong. These explanations were developed by Sporty’s team of Master CFIs, based on their experience preparing students for the Instrument Rating.
Flashcard mode tests your knowledge by allowing you to only see the question without the answer choices. After answering the question mentally, you can then select to show the correct answer, and self-grade your progress along the way. This is a great feature that keeps you from being distracted by incorrect answers!
Test mode randomly generates a 60-question session from the entire database of published FAA test questions, simulating the real Instrument Rating test. After answering all the questions, you’ll be given instant results, and have the option to review either all the questions, or just missed questions. Included in the review session are the same detailed explanations for why each answer is right or wrong.

Sporty’s Pilot Shop, the world’s largest pilot shop, brings you the E6B Flight Computer - now for Android phones AND tablets!

This powerful app includes all the features of Sporty's traditional E6B, including 23 aviation functions, 18 conversions and complete timer features.

The app's user-friendly design makes calculations fast and easy. Each function can be selected from a plain English list, and the app prompts the user for information as it goes. Plus, entries are saved from previous calculations, so there's no need to re-enter data. Calculating weight and balance is especially easy, with a dedicated page for adding new passengers, fuel or baggage.

Sporty's E6B app makes quick work of navigational, weight and balance, or fuel problems, and is a favorite of student pilots. But it also includes a number of features that are useful for experienced pilots, like Top of Descent, Specific Range and Planned Mach #.

The timer can be set to count up or count down, so it is perfect for timing approaches, holds or switching fuel tanks. There is also a clock function that shows Home, Local and Zulu time.
