Do you ever get in the car, drive off and then a text message arrives? You are then wondering who it is from and what it says.
Wouldn't it be clever if your phone knew when you were in the car and read the sender and the message out loud?
With SMS Aloud you can do that. If you connect your phone with bluetooth when you are in the car, the app detects that and then reads the sender and message out loud.
But don't worry if you don't use bluetooth and just want your phone to read out the messages. It will do that too.
Other features are:
- Easy to switch on and off completely.
- Switch to allow messages to be read out regardless of a bluetooth connection.
- Optional delay to allow you to turn down the car sterio before the message is read out by the phone.
- Allows you to set how loud you would like the message read out.
- Automatically reads out using the language your phone is set to.
Note that some phones don't have the TTS speech engine installed by the manufacturer and so you are prompted to install this during the installation of SMS Aloud.
V2.2 Fixes a problem where the app was failing to detect bluetooth connection on some cars.
