SieveSMSLite is a Lite version of SieveSMS for incoming SMS.It allows you to create a rule based on sender phone number or address, and assign an action to be taken when a rule matches.
It intercepts every SMS,matches it against rules created, and based on settings for a particular rule, either
1)Deletes the message
2)Blocks it and stores it
3)Blocks it, keep the message, and provides a notification.
SieveSMS is not a replacement for the default messaging application.Its purpose is to disallow promotional messages from reaching the inbox.
You have complete control of which messages get filtered, preventing deletion/blocking of useful SMS'es.Rules can be enabled or disabled at any time from the app, and there is an option to disable the app completely.
Other features include
- Quick creation of rules by listing current SMS senders from the messaging inbox.
- View blocked messages for every rule.
- Delete individual messages
- Delete rules and associated messages

RECEIVE SMS
Permission is needed to intercept messages and apply rules to it
READ SMS
To facilitate quick creation of rules, the app reads all message sender addresses/numbers and populates a list, and allows creation of
rules in least number of clicks.
READ CONTACTS
In populating the above list of senders, the app provides information on who the person is, based on contact number.This is to ensure that incorrect rules are not created.
VIBRATE
Needs the above permission to notify.
INTERNET and READ PHONE STATE
Allow app to sync with Google Analytics
This Lite version is a replica of the full paid version, and the lite version allows creation of a maximum of two rules only.
