Keep Up With The Flu is a widget and tool for your Android device that keeps you informed about the latest flu reports from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

Keep Up With The Flu is two applications in one. The first part is an Android home screen widget that keeps you informed about flu activity in your area. Using the GPS capabilities of your Android device, Keep Up With The Flu automatically checks the CDC flu reports for updates wherever you are. If there are changes in flu activity, you will receive a notification in the status bar, allowing you to take appropriate action to prevent the flu.

In order to create a widget, you must long press an empty 2x1 area on one of your home screens, select Widgets, then Keep Up With The Flu. Once you create the widget, you may also launch the news reader and configuration options by clicking anywhere within the widget area.

The second part of the application is a useful news and feed reader that connects the user to the CDC's flu resources. Users can view news and updates, twitter feeds, podcasts and videos from the CDC.

In addition, you can also configure the widget from the news reader screen. This includes disabling notifications or only receiving notifications if the flu report is different than the previous report in your area. You may also choose to manually refresh the widget from this screen.

H.A.W. (Hard at Work) Widget is a 1x1 utility widget for your Android device that estimates and shows you how much money you are making at work throughout the day. HAW Widget estimates your earnings based on information you provide it about your salary and work schedule.

To add HAW Widget to your home screen, long touch an empty area on your screen and select HAW Widget. HAW will then ask you to configure it. First, enter how much you make a year, or how much you make an hour. Next, select the days you work and which hours you work during those days. You can also factor taxes and deductions if you want to see how much you are really getting per paycheck.

HAW Widget allows you to set how often it updates during the day down to the minute. Be careful setting too frequent updates, as it may affect your battery. If you want to manually refresh HAW during the day, simply tap the widget on your home screen.

Events (v. 1.2)

Are you looking for things to do around you? If so, the Events app will search for events near you. Filter by event types (music, social, sports, etc...), within a certain radius or date range. You can get a detailed description of the event, along with weather information, an option to favorite events, and email the event to anybody in the world.
