PuppyShare consists of two related features:

This app uses Google services for sharing of your pictures and will prompt for permission to use a Google account associated with your device.

Please respect this community and share only pictures appropriate for the app - if we find that users are abusing this honor system, we will be forced to switch on moderation and approval processes. CatShare provides a Live Wallpaper to display a series of user-contributed pictures of fabulous felines. You see pictures shared by other CatShare users and they see yours! This Pro version of CatShare lets you adjust the number of pictures displayed on your wallpaper, always show your pictures, and more!

Once installed, you can select the CatShare live wallpaper.  A continuous slideshow of cat photos you've shared or which have been shared by others is displayed as your background.

To select a slideshow of shared kitties as your wallpaper:
• Click the 'Set as Live Wallpaper' button from the main app screen *OR* Go to your Home Screen, Long-press the background, Select Wallpapers, then Live wallpapers.
• Choose CatShare wallpaper from the list
• Click Set Wallpaper

To pause the Cat slideshow, double-tap the background. Double-tap again to resume.

CatShare also registers as a Share provider - To share pictures of your favorite felines: from the camera, photo gallery, or other media app, click Share then select 'CatShare' and follow the prompt to upload your image for display on other users' wallpaper!

NOAA Radar and Alerts (v. 3.0.10)

NOAA Radar and Alerts is a Live Wallpaper which displays live radar images for the US location of your choosing. When enabled, the NOAA Radar and Alerts wallpaper will display live weather radar images obtained from the NOAA National Weather Service in your background. You can also enable the optional weather alerts.  Choose up to five counties to receive alerts for, set your threshold and receive NOAA weather alerts as notification in your status bar.

This advanced release of a new "Pro" version includes the new stand-alone, launchable radar app in addition to the live wallpaper version (free of charge in this release for new early adopters and legacy users who upgrade) We've been getting slammed for the 'blank screen' problem that accompanied this new functionality and I've been working hard to solve it. This release includes a significant update that will hopefully address this issue, as well as missing overlays some users have been experiencing. Please give us a good review if you like the app.

Features include:
* Ability to select from any NOAA-supported US region
* Configurable layers: Radar + Topography, County Boundaries, Highways and/or City Labels
* Pinch/Zoom/Move to position your radar map
* Configurable update frequency
* Ability to use Weather Alert feature separate from Live Wallpaper
* Portrait or Landscape mode
* Optional Weather Alerts as notifications
  * Receive alerts for multiple counties (US, Guam, and Virgin Isles)

Usage:
Install application, then select as wallpaper (from Home, touch: Menu key, Wallpaper, Live wallpapers).  On the Settings screen, choose your Location and any other options settings, then touch "Set wallpaper". At the home screen, double-tap to enable positioning and pinch/zoom of the map - the wallpaper will respond to your left/right/up/down and pinch/zoom gestures. Double-tap again to exit positioning mode.

You can also zoom & position the app in the stand-alone mode and the settings will carry over to your wallpaper view.

You can now receive NOAA weather alerts without using the NOAA Radar as your wallpaper. Just 'Enable Alerts' unders Settings and leave your wallpaper alone.

A Compatibility Mode is now available which should help with some devices that are experiencing the 'blank overlays' issue. When compatibility mode is on, the app will operate the same as it does on low-memory device: Overlays are merged to conserve graphics memory and displayed on top of radar. Topographic overlay is not available. Overlays are cropped to 512 pixels high, leaving small top and bottom margins in the overlay.

NOTE that past radar images may not always be available from NOAA - Updates are dependent on the availability of an internet connection and images published by NOAA.

Earthquakes & Tsunamis (v. 1.3)

Earthquakes & Tsunamis live wallpaper which displays live earthquake updates from the US Geological Service (USGS). When enabled, the Earthquake Wallpaper will display an Earthquake map and will optionally deliver Tsunami alert notifications. Your wallpaper will display live earthquake location and intensity maps obtained from the USGS website (http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/). The wallpaper can be configured to display a loop of recent images or a single, most-recent, image. The download refresh rate is configurable.

We've also added support for Tsunami Alerts. Choose which of several regions (US West Coast/Alaska, Hawaii, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Caribbean) you want to receive alerts for. Notifications of alerts will appear in your status bar and details are available in the Alert History. Alerts are obtained from the US NOAA national Weather Service feeds.

Features include:
* Optional Tsunami Alerts
* Optional Zoom setting
* Configurable update frequency
* Portrait or Landscape mode
* Can scroll with screen touch motions, of be scroll-locked

Usage:
Install application, then select as wallpaper (from Home, touch: Menu key, Wallpaper, Live wallpapers).  On the Settings screen, choose your Location and any other options settings, then touch "Set wallpaper". At the home screen, the wallpaper will respond to your left/right/up/down gestures.

Image update is subject to availability of images from USGS.
Tsunami alerts are subject to availability of feeds from NOAA.

Live Wallpaper which displays the Picture Of The Day posted by Wikimedia Commons, an public domain media file repository (commons.wikimedia.org).

Each day a different glorious image from the Wikimedia Commons image library is automatically downloaded and added to the scrolling rotation of the last six images.

A convenient shortcut to the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Day webpage is provided on the initial application and preferences screens. A preference setting is also provided to control the image scroll speed and position of the image title.

To install this animated wallpaper, launch the application icon or long-click on your phone's desktop, then select Wallpapers, then select Live wallpapers.
