Have you ever wondered what Linear Simultaneous Equations (LSEs) are all about?

When you solve these equations, what does the solution mean? Did you know that these equations and straight line graphs are related? You might already know the equation of the straight line, y = mx + c (as seen in the TeachMe Linear Equations app). TeachMe Simultaneous Equations enables you to visualise graphically what happens when you change the values of a, b and k in a pair of LSEs in the form ax + by = k. In many cases the straight line graphs intersect - this point of intersection is important when considering linear simultaneous equations. But how? Sometimes they don’t intersect at all. In which case, how does this relate to the solution? These and other questions can be answered using this app.
