App List (v. 1.3)

This is a simple app that provides a list or grid of apps in alphabetical order.

I wrote this for my Galaxy Tab - it has no way to alphabetize the list of apps on the Applications screen.

I don't know if all Galaxy Tabs have this issue or if it's just mine - but I have noted some other devices have the same issue, so this app is good for them as well.

My new Samsung Epic doesn't sort the stock application list in grid view, but it does in list view - very odd.

Should work on any device - although most devices probably handle this task well.

This provides two different views - a list view, and a grid view. The grid view is very similar to the stock Application screen.

Tap an entry to start that app. NOTE: some apps will not return to this App List app (notably the Car Dock app).

You can hide/unhide apps from the list or grid.

There are quick toggles between view modes. See the help screen for complete instructions.

Even though this was written for the Galaxy Tab, this app is available on over 1400 devices and there is no way I can test on all of them, so if you have troubles, please contact me and we can work it out.

No Cell Radio for Galaxy Tab (v. 1.2)

This is a simple home page widget that does two things in one step - 1) turns on Airplane Mode - which will turn off the cell radio, GPS, Bluetooth, and WiFi - then 2) turn WiFi back on.

I use my Sprint Galaxy Tab strictly via WiFi - the cell radio is on by default and consumes about 2% of my battery looking for service that I don't want or have.

On the Galaxy Tab, getting to the Airplane Mode setting is a pain - it's not on the Notification Bar pull down. So I wrote this widget to do what I need - maybe it will help someone else.

This was written on/for the Galaxy Tab but should work on most devices - the only other device I have tested it on is a Galaxy S Epic phone.

PERMISSIONS:

WRITE_SETTINGS - this is needed to toggle Airplane Mode.

ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, CHANGE_WIFI_STATE - these are used to read and change the WiFi state back on after toggling Airplane Mode on.

BS Alarm Widget (v. 1.2)

A totally useless stupid widget that sounds a BS Alarm.

I was watching Wolf Blitzer on CNN the other day, he has a segment where Jack Cafferty does 'The Cafferty File'

Jack made the comment 'Why does my BS Alarm go off every time I hear ...' and it was that comment that inspired me to write this app.

Plays a dire alert sound combined with some on-screen graphics - last about 8 seconds - tap anywhere on the screen to cancel it earlier than the 8 seconds.

A Texas Thing Screen Widget (v. 1.7)

This is a home screen widget that is all about showing your Texas pride. Perfect for native Texans and wannabes alike.

This widget occupies a 1 x 1 home screen area and you can choose from 15 different images or a random mode that changes every 30 minutes.

It's the electronic version of something we've all done with pencil and paper.
