Easily fall asleep with Nap Time Sound Machine.  Choose from 20 different  ambient sounds, some including white noise, fireplace, and seashore; then set the time.  The sounds help filter out background noises, and they stimulate your brain to fall asleep.  This app can be moved to the SD Card with Android 2.2.
