Completely dim the screen without locking the phone with Screen Off. Go dark and wake up with one touch!  Let Screen Off save you on number of clicks/touches as well as save your phone battery.

Here's a likely scenario for Screen Off use:
Leave your music player screen up in the foreground and still go completely dark without locking the phone with the power button or having it lock on you automatically.  This makes it super easy to get back to that music player with just a single tap of the screen, without having to hit the power button and unlock the phone, all while saving your battery life.

Q:  
How can I activate Screen Off while keeping the other app in the foreground?

A:
Run Screen Off once and you'll see it added to your Notification bar.  Now whenever you are using another app (be it a music player or Facebook, etc.) you can go to your Notification bar and select Screen Off to go dark.


Q:
That's great, but how do I close down Screen Off completely now?

A:  
Run Screen Off, hit Menu and select Exit.  This will remove it from the Notification bar and exit the app completely.


Q:
The screen remains back-lit and/or the buttons stay lit.  Can you fix this?

A:
Unfortunately, no.  The problem is that there is no way to completely turn off the screen while keeping its touch event handling enabled.  The app attempts to emulate the turning off of the screen by adjusting the brightness setting by taking it down to zero.  On some phones this works great.  However, on others it still keeps the screen back-lit.  This is a function of the device and there isn't much I can do about it.  Sorry..  :(

A simple application that encrypts a given image with a given key/passcode, and just as easily decrypts a given encrypted image with the same key, which helps you keep your private photos safe from prying eyes.  If you don't have the right key to decode the encrypted image, then you won't be able to see it. AES cipher algorithm is used to encode the image file, resulting in very secure file encryption that helps you keep your private photos safe from prying eyes.

Here's how you use it:
1. Agree on a secret key with your friend/co-worker/lover/cat.

2. Select an image file you want to encrypt from either the photo gallery or another location on your phone/tablet (photos taken by camera are typically located in /sdcard/DCIM/Camera/, but may differ for your mobile device).

3. Click 'Encrypt'.  And your newly encrypted image file should be saved to /sdcard/SecretMessage/ (may differ for your mobile device) with a '.smei' extension.

4. Then send your encrypted/encoded image file, and tell the other person to decrypt it with this app and using the same key.  Decrypted image files are also saved to /sdcard/SecretMessage/ (may differ for your mobile device).


To decrypt a file received from someone, open Secret Photo app and select the file by browsing to it via Other Location button.

Most cruise lines do not offer streaming video, so we can't provide that.  Please do NOT down vote the app because of the impossible.

* Celebrity Cruises does not offer any cams at all.  So please don't vote down the app just because the cruise line doesn't make web cams an option.
* While we'd love to offer streaming video in this app, it's not something most cruise lines make available.  So we can't do much about that.

Q:
Why does this app require all these permissions?

A:
Different permissions are necessary for different parts of the app to function properly.  Some more commonly asked about permissions are briefly explained below:

* WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - necessary for image file encryption/decryption, and storage.

* PROCESS_OUTGOING_CALLS - necessary for Stealth Mode feature to work.  App gets activated when 3666 is dialed.  No other number is intercepted.


Q:  
What is Stealth Mode?

A:
While in Stealth Mode the app is not visible in the app list (drawer).  There is no open button; The only way to launch Secret Message is to  dial "3666" and press the call button.

Q:
What are Salt & Iteration options in Settings menu?

A:
These are relevant only for 256-bit encryption. If you're not familiar with these cryptography terms, read this:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_(cryptography)

Q:
Is 128 and 256-bit encryption compatible?

A:
No, if you encrypt something with 256-bit option enabled, no one will be able to decrypt using 128-bit version (or vice versa).

Q:  
Once the person receives the encrypted message how do they decrypt it?  

A:  
The receiver of your encrypted message has a couple of options when it comes to decrypting and reading your message:
1.  Copy the encrypted message itself and paste it into their Secret Message app on their iPhone, iPad, Android device or Windows Phone 7 mobile device.  This obviously requires the other party to also have Secret Message installed on their phone.
2.  If sent via email or Facebook wall post, a link should've been generated for a web page which can help the other person decrypt the message.  For example, try this link: http://www.secretmessageapp.com/decrypt/a1501a67125c4fee99e7575766075d3d with the secret key "test" (without quotes).

In general, if you're sending the message to someone who doesn't have the app installed or doesn't even have an iPhone, iPad, Android or Windows Phone 7 mobile device, you can always direct them to http://www.secretmessageapp.com/decrypt where they can manually paste in the encrypted message and enter the secret key to decode the message.
