The Holly Spelling Game is designed to help children with their spelling homework. Any parent who owns a Droid phone can enter the words to study into the app database. This must be done before using the game. The reason there are no words in the database is to allow the parent to enter the words that are appropriate for the child's grade level. Being able to handle these custom word lists is important, because the game can be tailored to each individual child, regardless of their grade level. The child can study the words, listen to the game pronounce the word and spell the word.
There is a spelling test screen, where your child can listen to each word, then spell the words. At any time during the test, a button can be pressed to get a score.
Games are Hangman and Scramble. The hangman game looks like the hangman that we did on paper when we were young. The scramble game scrambles each word and buttons are pressed to un-scramble the words. There is a peek button to get a two second view of the word to help unscramble.
Each word entered has a maximum limit of 15 letters per word. The definition has a limit of 25 letters per word. There is no limit to the number of words to be entered, but it is suggested you keep them to a minimum to simplify the studying.

Holly Spelling Game now has an import data feature, where you can save or import Excel CSV files, or regular text files. The files can be from any source, including your own files that you save on the SD card. The only requirement is that each row in the file has a word to spell. If you want a definition for each word, the row of data should have the word to spell, a comma, and a definition.

When I was in the third grade, spelling was very difficult for me. I hope the Holly Spelling Game will be a good assistant in helping children with their spelling homework, and at the same time, make spelling fun.

This is a free application that will teach you morse code. it is not a "TOY." It is an actual application that was specifically designed to help a beginner learn morse code.
It has a screen that will teach you the alphabet one letter at a time by playing the Morse code sounds. Another screen lets you type in text and play back the Morse code sounds. There is a new CW keyer screen, where you can practice sending CW. When you use the paddles, what you send will appear on the screen above the paddles.

The paid version has additional screens for random letter and word practice, a CW test, a dipole antenna length calculator, and SOS screen.

AE Morse is a Droid application that teaches you Morse code (CW). It has an interactive screen for learning the alphabet plus much more. The best way to learn Morse code is by ear. AE Morse plays actual Morse code sound instead of just blinking or vibrating your Droid.

Not recomended for use with the following devices:
HTC Wildfire.
Samsung Galaxy.

My name is Jerry and I have held an amateur radio license for over 30 years. I have loved communicating using Morse Code (CW) and wanted to provide a learning tool for anyone who is new to amateur radio and interested in using CW to enhance his or her amateur radio experience.

CW can successfully be received under some conditions where voice can not. You can tune out more of the interference on a received CW message using a decent ham radio. Having the skill of CW can be an asset during emergency situations where other forms of communication may not be possible.
