Now updated to 2012/13 rates

This application aims to provide key tax data at your fingertips. I have only included a limited amount of information in this  version.

Rates, allowances and limits are provided in respect of Income tax, Corporation tax and VAT.

Future versions will be comprehensive.

This application calculates VAT from Net to VAT, Net to Gross, Gross to Net and Gross to VAT.

Set the default rate when you first start the application. It will be saved when you exit.

To change the default just type in the new rate.

This software is a PAYE ready reckoner for UK use only. It has a default tax code, representing the 2011-12 tax free allowance of £7,475 per annum.

Monthly gross salary should be entered and it will calculate Tax, National Insurance and Net when the 'calculate' button is pressed.

It assumes that the employee is under 65, receives no benefit in kind and is entitled to full personal allowances. It also assumes that income accrues evenly throughout the year.

It is not meant to be used to calculate real salaries and is merely for guidance.
