Campus Application – Kiel University of Applied Sciences.
This Android Smart Phone Application has been developed to support students at Kiel University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule Kiel) in Kiel, Germany.
Using this App and its sub-applications students have easy access to current information about the most important subjects related to the campus, the study programs and the general student-life.
The following list gives a short description of the applications:
Timetable:
This application will guide the user to timetables based on criteria like faculty and degree program.
Campus map:
This application is based on Google Maps and provides campus specific information, assisting the user to navigate on campus, e.g. finding building, lecture rooms or administrative sites.
Notes:
In this application, the user can create and maintain a list of appointments. Additionally the user can access the list of important events generated from the institutional website.
Info system:
Loads the university info blog in a smart phone optimized way.
Dining:
Provides a map with restaurants around campus. It also allows to access the university restaurant's weekly food plan and provides a quick preview of the meals offered.
Transportation:
Shows the bus and ferry timetable, including information about the next arrival and departure time. It also presents a list of local taxi services.
Facebook:
In this sub-application the user can access and use the facebook account.
