With the Earthmate app for inReach, reach anyone, anywhere, anytime you’re outside of cell phone range. This free app is your key to all the exclusive capabilities the inReach satellite communicator enables on your Android phone, including two-way text messaging.
Wherever you go, you can stay connected with family, share information with colleagues, or get emergency assistance…and you’ll always receive a confirmation when your messages are delivered.
You can also post messages to Facebook and Twitter and let others track your travels online.
The Earthmate app also allows unlimited downloads of DeLorme Topo North America maps for display on your phone.
NOTE: An inReach communicator is required to use the app and download maps.
Topo North America covers the U.S. and Canada with detail including elevation contours, land cover, highways, streets and back roads, lakes and streams, places of interest, and U.S. trails. Because the maps are cached on your phone, they’re viewable even when there’s no cell signal, and the display integrates with your phone’s GPS signal to pinpoint your location in a map context.
2-way satellite text messaging.
Interactive SOS lets you stay in touch with emergency response center, exchanging updates until help arrives.
Message delivery confirmation assures you that your message has reached the satellite for reliable delivery to cell phones, email, or emergency response center.
"Breadcrumb trail” can be viewed online by anyone you designate on detailed DeLorme topographic maps or Bing aerial imagery.
