Check out QwarkWire beta, your venue for last-minute local posts. Need a cab share to the airport? A running partner? Or just a heads up on what’s happening in the neighborhood? QwarkWire is a new Android app that aims to solve your last minute needs, by making it simple to view and publish location-specific micro-posts.
Adding a post just takes seconds. Type in a brief description of what you need, where you need it, and when -- you’re done! You can delete your post or republish it at any time. If you do nothing, the post will be deleted after 3 hours. Other users can reply to your posts via QwarkWire mail, so your e-mail and social networking IDs are kept private.
See what’s near you at a glance. QwarkWire contains more than personal posts from your neighbors. It’s constantly refreshed with new posts pointing to local concerts, films, street-fairs, and more. All QwarkWire posts are location and time-specific, with closest posts front and center. You have the option of narrowing the display list, for example by selecting a category.
There are no stale posts in QwarkWire. You’ll find that most posts have been published in the last hour or two. QwarkWire posts are deleted after 3 hours, in most cases. So you won‘t have to sift through hundreds of references to events that happen tomorrow, the day after, or next week. Only posts that point to all-day events such as street fairs stay around longer.
