RC Model Aircraft Center of Gravity Calculator v2.2 (replaces v1.x)

This may prevent your plane from crashing!

Measure and enter the tip chord length, the root chord length, the sweep length and YOUR required CG percentage (eg 25%) of your model airplane wing.

This app will calculate the POSITION of the Center of Gravity (CG or CoG or Balance Point) measured back from the leading edge at the wing root.

You can use inches, centimeters or millimeters.

A too rearward CG position can cause unrecoverable (sometimes fatal) instability!

25-30% recommended for most conventional wings, 12-18% for delta wings.

- Average Current Used (after battery recharge).
- Average Discharge Rate (C-rate).
- Expected Flight Time from a particular battery.
- Power in Watts (from Volts & Amps).
- Static thrust of a propeller in pounds or kilograms.

RC Model Aircraft Center of Gravity Calculator v1.1 (Old)

You enter YOUR required CG percentage (ie 25%), measure and enter the tip chord, the root chord and the sweep of a model  plane and it will calculate the POSITION of the Center of Gravity (CG or COG) measured back from the leading edge at the wing root. Measured in inches, cm or mm.
