This application will be changing back to original functionality of managing music files. I will update this description as soon as I have the new functionality finished.
IMPORTANT: Please select items in list by touching the item (file information), instead of using the star icon. The multi-select delete works better when item is selected via the item click event.
APPLICATION OVERVIEW:
I created this application to help me easily find and remove mp3 files that were downloaded to my phone from the many different applications I use.
The scenario I most commonly use this application for is deleting a sub-set of cached media files instead of removing all cache. For instance, many mp3 files are downloaded for each audio book that I listen to. I only want to remove those mp3 files that are for a book that I've already finished rather than lose the mp3 files for the books I'm still listening to.
The application creates a list of all the mp3 files found on your android device. While the list is being built in a background process, the user is able to perform the following tasks.
FLING RIGHT:
- Opens the file info screen for the fling'd file
FLING LEFT:
- Currently disabled. Let me know your Suggestions? Delete w/confirm box maybe?
SHORT PRESS:
- Plays preview of the selected mp3 file
- Click same song, preview stops
- Click another song and the current preview stops and new preview starts
LONG PRESS:
- File Info, shows information, find, play, and stop
- Stop Preview, stops current playing mp3 file
- Preview, plays the selected mp3 file
- Delete, deletes the selected mp3 file
- Help, shows simple instructions
BACK BUTTON PRESS:
- While preview is playing, a stop preview option is displayed to the user
- Normal operation if song is not playing
MENU BUTTON PRESS:
- Settings, select the audio file types that you want to search for. Click refresh to see search results.
- Stop Preview, stops current playing mp3 file
- Full Refresh, rebuilds list by searching for mp3 files
- Quit, closes the application
- Help, shows simple instructions
HOME BUTTON PRESS:
- Closes the application
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- If song is playing while "Quit" or "Home" is pressed, a notification will show in notification bar
- If song is playing when application is reopened, a stop preview option is displayed to the user
