SensorCollector is an Android 2.1-based application that allows users to collect raw sensor data from a cell phone and visualize a few of these sensors. The sensors currently supported are: Accelerometer, GPS, Temperature, Pressure, Magnetic Field, Proximity, Pressure, Light, Orientation and Gyroscope. The application allows the user to choose what he or she wishes to record but does not allow recording of sensors not found on the phone.

The sensor data is recorded at three different rates depending on the sensor and each data file is streamed to the server. The application also allows a user to visualize and stream the data in real time for the accelerometer, orientation, gyroscope and magnetic field sensors.

Sensor Collector is an Android Operating System 2.1-based application that allows users to record, visualize, and collect raw sensor values from a cell phone. The sensors currently supported are: Accelerometer, GPS, Temperature, Pressure, Magnetic Field, Proximity, Pressure, Light, Orientation, and Gyroscope. The application determines what sensors the phone has available and allows the user to choose what he or she wishes to record. The app does not store values from sensors not supported by the phone.

The data is recorded at three different rates and the user can select from a list which of these rates he or she would like to use: fast at 50 milliseconds (ms), medium at 500 ms, slow at 5000 (ms) or every 5 seconds. Each data file is stored on the cell phone and is easily accessible by mounting the cell phone to the computer and opening up the driver. The application also allows a user to visualize a select few sensors such as the accelerometer, orientation, gyroscope, and magnetic field. The graph is creaetd using a line and plot formatter from the AndroidPlot API (androidplot.com) and is streamed in real time.
