Find a nearby pharmacy quickly and easily, anywhere in the world!

We've got thousands of pharmacies all over the world in this app and near complete coverage throughout England, however we're always on the lookout for more. So if you see a pharmacy and it's not listed then tell us about it! You can do this directly in the app and we'll submit it to the OpenStreetMap project to help other people too, wherever in the world they live - even if they are not using our app. We want this data to be made as widely available as possible!

Finding a pharmacy away from home, and in a hurry, can be a difficult and stressful task. Don't get caught out and about needing plasters or nappies, buy it now and be prepared for that next minor emergency without having to hunt around for a chemists.

You can search for a pharmacy/chemist around your current location, or look for one in another area (whilst out, or for a distant relative) via a simple place name or postcode search.

Find Pharmacies uses the built in GPS to get your current location. If your location cannot be determined automatically then you can always enter your post code to get started. Please note that an internet connection is required to get location and map data.

Find Postboxes (v. 4.3)

Find Postboxes helps you locate nearby post boxes and post offices wherever you are in the world. It can also tell you the last collection times at many of these to help you catch the last post!

Search for postboxes and post offices around your current location, or look for a mailbox in another area via a simple place name or postcode / zipcode search. Pick the box you want and call up a route map directly to it from your current location. Distances can be displayed in metric or imperial units.

Not all areas feature complete coverage yet although most major (and many not so big) metropolitan areas have excellent coverage. We're adding more postbox locations to the database daily so the data will only ever improve, and even if we don't know about your absolute closest mailbox we'll normally have one nearby which might be good enough in many situations.

Are we missing boxes in your area? Add them straight from the app... Simply stand next to the postbox with your phone and press “update” to give us the coordinates, then “add” and you’re done! If you want, you can enter the postal operator and the last collection times (as written on the front of the post box), but those are not required for a basic submission. We’ll figure out the name of the street you’re on and e-mail you to confirm your data. We'll then feed your update back into our database and add the postbox to OpenStreetMap so that the data is made openly available.

Find Recycling (v. 4.4)

Find a nearby recycling point and help save the planet!

We all know that recycling is important and that we should be looking to recycle and re-use as many of the earth’s precious natural resources as possible, but sometimes finding WHERE you can recycle a particular item can be quite an effort. The Find Recycling app allows you to locate various recycling points around your current location and will then guide you there with a map. You can also search for recycling points elsewhere via a simple place name or postcode search to help friends or relatives properly dispose of their old waste from glass bottles to batteries to TV’s.

Built-in coverage varies by country & city. Some areas have near complete coverage while other areas are less well covered - if at all in some cases - so please check coverage for your area below prior to purchase:

There are recycling points all over the world in this app already but we know that we have not mapped them all yet and so we’d like your help. If we don't have your local recycling center then please add it and help other users in your area to do their bit for the planet too; if you know extra details about a recycling point that we already have, then you can similarly update its details. To add a new location, simply stand in front of it with your Android phone and tick the types of recycling offered. If you know it, you can add the name of the center and the opening hours in too, but it's not required. We'll then check your submission and feed the update back into our database to help all future users.

Walk up to any tree in the leafy city of San Francisco and find out exactly what type of tree you're looking at! SF Trees will tell you both the Latin and the common name for that tree as well as other trees in your vicinity. We have data for over 60,000 trees from the Golden Gate Bridge down to Daly City.
