The paid version of PicasaVidUp doesn't have any ads and you can upload directly to Picasa from the picture gallery.

PicasaVidUp is an android application that allows you to upload videos to Picasa. I created it because I liked uploading pictures to Picasa from my Android phone but I was frustrated that I couldn't upload my videos as well. If you don't want all of your Picasa albums to show up in your Android Gallery, disable Picasa sync from Settings->Accounts & sync->Manage Accounts->User Account->Sync Picasa Web Albums
