Offers functionality to enjoy more your android device:
A. Car & Bluetooth
- Turn On Bluetooth on incoming call or when dialing.
- Turn On Bluetooth when Dialer is called.
(The user will be prompted to 'Complete action Using' when calling for the first time the dialer.
Choose 'Use by default for this action' and then click on CSDevCTRL).
- Turn Off Bluetooth after hanging up
- Turn Off Bluetooth only if a specific paired bluetooth device is out of range.
B. Blinking Ring
- Blink the camera flash when incoming call is received and device is flipped over.
- Blink the camera flash when incoming call is received unconditionally.
C. Toggle WIFI
- Turn off WIFI, when screen is turned off and WIFI was on.
- Turn off WIFI, when screen is turned off and not connected to any WIFI hotspot.
- Turn On WIFI when screen is turned on and WIFI was turned off by the utility.
D. Announce Incoming Call
- The device speaks a custom text message when receiving a call.
The text is in a free format having the next special character sequences:
%1 will be replaced with the Telephone number if known
%2 will be replaced with the Contact name if known otherwise with the Telephone number
%3 will be replaced with the type of the telephone number as entered in contacts
Only one presence of each sequence is handled.
Example:
Call from %1, %2 at %3
will be spoken as Call from 1234, Chris at Mobile
Also conditional text is supported as follows:
[~1 YYY ]
will speak YYY if Telephone number is known
[~2 YYY ]
will speak YYY if Contact Name is known
[~3 YYY ]
will speak YYY if the type of the telephone number is known
Example:
Call from %2 [~3at %3]
will be spoken as Call from 1234
if this number is not in contacts
Requires:
- Text to Speech to be installed (See 'Settings->Voice Input & Output->Test-to-speech settings'
- The Notification volume to be set (not turned off or very low, otherwise the announcement will not be heard.
D. Long Press Search Button Remapping with one of the actions
- Toggle Bluetooth
- Toggle Wifi
- Bring up Dialer
- Bring up Camera
- Bring up a Quick Menu
This is a simple menu in appearance which gives options to turn on/off Bluetooth, Wifi,
bring up Camera, CSDevCTRL.
This can be used to perform the above actions and return to the application you were working on, without the need of going to the Home screen.
(The user will be prompted to 'Complete action Using' when pressing the Search button for the first time.
Choose 'Use by default for this action' and then click on CSDevCTRL).
Note:
If the application running is already using the Search button this menu is deactivated.
Compiled and tested only on 2.2 android, does not require root access.
