BalloonMail; a new augmented reality app that gives GeoCaching a complete new dimension.
BalloonMail allows you to release your own, virtual balloon cards into the real world. Adapting the amount of helium allows you to control the range of your balloon. The complete world is in your hand. Released balloons appear on the Balloon Mail Treasure Card. Other players of the game can search for your card and reply to it.
The BalloonMail app comes with two modes:
1) Send mode
This mode allows you to design your own balloon card. You can write down some text on a card. You can even add a picture, taken with your build-in camera. Go to the release screen, tune the dosis helium, and hope for a proper wind direction. Finally, release the balloon.
2) Search mode
This mode allows you search for released balloons. The GPS based tracking mode, requires you to be physically at the spot of the released balloon. Only then, the balloon card will appear on your screen. After having enjoyed the balloon card, you're able to reply to the originator of the balloon card.
