Alarm notifier - very simple, lightweight and reliable.
Reminds you the sun is setting every evening by playing a tune when it is getting dark.
Very easy to use, just press the "Snooze" button and the app will close, and appear again at the next sunset - simple as that.
You don't have to remember to set the alarm - just press the "Snooze" button and you'll get another reminder tomorrow at sundown.
I developed the app to remind me to close up the chickens' shed at twilight so that the fox doesn't eat them.
The reminder time is tailored to your location determined by the mobile phone network.
Designed for people who require a routine reminder every day at dusk.
You can use the "offset" button if you want the reminder to occur before or after nightfall - up to 60 minutes. This offset will be used every day until you change it.
Just press the "Snooze" button when you're done.
The very first time you press the "Snooze" button, you may get a message to say that the location is unknown. If this happens, make sure you have mobile phone reception and start the app again, then press snooze again.
Please note that the ring may still be heard even when your phone sounds are switched off unless the volume within the app is set to zero.
If you press Menu>Disable the app will close, and not remind you again.
Occasionaly a small advert banner will appear above the buttons, this is why the app requests internet access, but if internet access is unavailable, the app will still function as normal.
Hope you find this app useful! So far it has been used by poultry keepers, pet owners, photographers for the golden hour, noctilucent cloud spotters, and navy personnel observing evening color ceremony.
Ideal for ckicken chook hen and rooster keepers who need an alarm as darkness approaches.
Please follow "SunsetReminder" on twitter.
This app has proven to be very reliable, and will work anywhere in the world, and has not crashed since a bug fix in the initial version, though I don't accept any responsibility for loss incurred if the reminder doesn't work as expected (very unlikely).
thanks,
Bob.
