Black Belt Bamboost is a creative educational interactive bamboo park building strong sustainable bonds between environment + community one shoot at a time.
This project is community driven, and creative + educational in scope. It can provide a platform for bringing diverse groups together.
Black Belt Bamboost will provide bamboo + bamboo related programs, events, workshops, lectures, and exhibitions.
We will partner with other interested organizations including local arts organizations and schools, colleges + universities.
We will seek funding opportunities on the local, regional + national levels.
Most importantly, it will be lead by younger members of our community, and gently mentored by our older members.
In addition to the bamboo, plans include an outdoor meeting + community gathering space, and an organic garden.
The hope is this will become an active and engaged area within our community.
Through this process, it is believed Black Belt Bamboost will:
boost our communities bamboo awareness, economy, education, and creativity.
