XLsms not only offers you the lowest SMS rates globally but as well extends the functionality of the built in messaging app with cool features like:

- Repeating alerts for new messages;
- SMS counter widget, shows unread messages count;
- SMS usage stats for the current and prior month billing cycles;
- Incorporates 3rd party pre-paid SMS providers' services supporting Sender ID: 1.5-5 USD cents (1-4 Euro cents) per message worldwide;
- Free messages between XLsms users(subject to Google's C2DM limits);
- Direct and proxy communication to 3rd party providers to help you save on bandwidth usage when abroad or on a tight data plan.

All your messages are hosted in the default messaging app and you can follow a conversation without having to switch apps to figure out who said what.
