Fresh Comics tells you about the latest issues every week and where to get them. It includes a full database of the week's upcoming releases and a comic shop locator that helps you find the best stores in your local area to purchase them. In addition to a full Android app, Fresh Comics also provides a home screen desktop widget that helps you keep up with your favorite issues every week.

Best of all, this app is completely free with absolutely no ads!

Note for new users: On this app's first run, it will download the last two week's worth of new comic book releases. This data consists of approx. 300 text records, 300 cover preview thumbnails, and 300 full quality cover images (about 25 MB total). If your wireless bandwidth is a concern, download and run this app first when you have a WiFi connection. After the first download, the app will update its record database weekly with approx. 150 new issues each weekend. These subsequent content fetches will be half the size of the initial download (12-15 MB per week).

The Wall of Life is an implementation of John Conway's "Game of Life", a cellular automaton created in 1970. "Life" is a two-dimensional universe where cells situated on a grid live and die based on social factors. This world is governed by 4 simple rules:

1. Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbors goes away. (Loneliness)
2. Any live cell with two or three live neighbours lives on. (Community)
3. Any live cell with more than three live neighbors dies. (Overcrowding)
4. Any empty cell with exactly three live neighbors comes alive. (Family)

From these four rules, a complex and beautiful system emerges as communities live, die, and evolve in order to find an optimal arrangement that allows them to survive. On your Android device, this plays out on your live wallpaper as you go through your daily life.
