MusicToAndroid is a music syncing app for the Android mobile platform. MusicToAndroid works by having two separate apps ( one for Android and one for PC ) that work together to wirelessly sync your music library from your PC, to your Android mobile phone or tablet. There are several features that set MusicToAndroid apart from its competitors:
* MusicToAndroid PC software runs on all OS's (Mac, Windows, Linux)
* There is no other 3rd party software that MusicToAndroid requires to function (iTunes, Winamp)
* You can access the MusicToAndroid Server from anywhere (Internet access required)
* MusicToAndroid recursively scans all subdirectories for any compatible music files
* All of your musics meta information (ID3 tags) will be automatically extracted, allowing you to browse by artist/album/song name, right on your android device
* Any songs downloaded by MusicToAndroid will be saved to your devices media database, adding your music to the android media player and other 3rd party media players

The PC-side software is quite easy to use. It acts as a standalone server that will run on any OS. Once your music library is scanned and loaded into the program the server starts itself, waiting to receive connections from clients. A single server can receive multiple simultaneous connections from any number of clients.
---Android App
The Android app acts as the client software and connects directly to the PC server. Upon establishing a connection to the server side software, Android builds an sqlite database of your music. After the database is constructed, you can browse through your entire music collection by artist/album/song title right on your android phone! You select individual songs to download them, you can have as many simultaneous downloads as your devices bandwidth permits. You are given a progress percentage for each song in the notification bar. When a song is finished downloading, all you have to do is open your media player and you should see the songs you just downloaded.
