TriStateAlerts is an emergency information service that allows emergency management officials, law enforcement, and the media in the IL/IN/KY Tri-State area to share information with the general public. Our main channels of communication are popular social networking sites, like Twitter and Facebook. TriStateAlerts is powered in part by the Weather4Me Alerts Platform, developed in-house and now available nationwide.

The Weather4Me Alerts Platform is a current representation of area weather, whose main purpose is to keep the general public informed via Facebook and Twitter accounts owned by TriStateAlerts, LLC and its subscribers during severe weather events. In addition, this server accesses in realtime a selection of current official weather observations, forecasts, and warnings from U.S. government sources for use by the community. This site is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Timely delivery of data and products from this site through the Internet is not guaranteed. Official National Weather Service dissemination systems which can provide timely delivery of data and products are listed below.

This is a simple app used to determine if the weather forecast is good enough to drive a motorcycle.  If the weather is good the app will display a motorcycle icon signifying that today you should ride your motorcycle. If the weather is bad the app will display a car icon signifying that today you should drive your car.

The Adobe Air 2.6 mobile app is a requirement for this app. Most phones will ask you to install it prior to installation.  If you have issues please try installing it or updating the Adobe Air mobile app.

The weather information is pulled from the National Weather Service and I do not guarantee accuracy.

Please email me with any issues you may have before giving the app a negative rating.

Future Enhancements:
- Fix resolution on some phones
- Change settings fields to sliders
- Use number keyboard for zip code field
- Display city & state
