Accuracy Checks: March 10 2011, Snow Day Calculator predicted an 88% chance of a snow day for Orangeville, Ontario, Canada. The following day was a snow day.

March 11 2011: 62% chance, was not a snow day.

Why is our app better? Because weather station's reports don't give you all the details. Competition that automatically gathers weather data from a zip or postal code only considers the weather. But there are many more factors involved, such as hype, human perception and more that our app takes into account that the others don't.

Doppler weather radar live wallpaper which displays live radar images for the US location of your choosing. When enabled, the NOAA Doppler Weather Radar wallpaper will display live weather radar images obtained from the NOAA National Weather Service in your background.

Features include:
* Ability to select your US region
* Configurable layers: Radar + Topography, County Boundaries, Highways and/or City Labels
* Optional Zoom setting
* Configurable update frequency
* Portrait or Landscape mode

Usage:
Install application, then select as wallpaper (from Home, touch: Menu key, Wallpaper, Live wallpapers).  On the Settings screen, choose your Location and any other options settings, then touch "Set wallpaper". At the home screen, the wallpaper will respond to your left/right/up/down gestures.

NOTE that past radar images may not always be available from NOAA - it may take several poll intervals to build up an animated map. Also, NOAA updates its radar images every 10 minutes, so that is the fasted refresh interval permitted by the app. Updates are dependent on the availability of an internet connection.

Currently the app covers the United States, Puerto Rico, and Central America. In time, we will offer more international locations.

Save up to 5 surf report locations and easily swipe between your favorite locations. The main screen, provides you with a summary of the 7 day surf forecast, and the current weather and buoy data. The current weather includes: air temperature, water temperature, wind, tide, and buoy data. When you click on the buoy button, you can get more detailed information from the nearest buoy. Clicking on the forecast day button, will take you to the detail screen, breaking down the full text forecast for the day, tide data, and a 3 hour interval wind and swell data through the day.

Swell Info makes receiving the current weather and surf forecast info a breeze! If you are not a current Swellinfo.com user, make sure to go to the web site to see the live forecasts for the nearest locations to your surf breaks.

All this app does is show you the latest rain radar data in your area, kindly supplied by the Bureau of Meteorology. Nothing more - no weather forecasts, no finding out how flamin' hot it was in Yabbie Creek in 1894.

Just rain. Or no rain.
