Redescopera Romania este o aplicatie dezvoltata in Bucuresti, pentru proiectul cu acelasi nume, initiat de Petrom.

La fel ca si versiunea de pe site, www.redescoperaromania.ro versiunea portabila a hartii a fost creata pentru a te ajuta sa localizezi cele mai frumoase obiective turistice din Romania, mai mult sau mai putin cunoscute, fie ca este vorba de forme de relief, monumente, obiceiuri, locuri unde se intampla fenomene deosebite sau merita vizitate pentru alte motive.

Aplicatia foloseste Google Maps, iar navigarea pe harta se face in acelasi fel.

Iata ce poti face folosind Redescopera Romania:

In primul rand, poti cauta, localiza si afla mai multe despre anumite obiective.
Functia Cauta este singura accesibila fara crearea unui cont. Cu ajutorul ei poti gasi locurile care te intereseaza si accesa informatiile existente in descrierea lor.
Poti cauta dupa: Categorie (loc istoric, loc natural, loc traditional, statii de benzina si altele), Nume, Drum National sau Oras.

Pentru celelalte optiuni din meniu – Adauga, Locatia mea, Favorite, Locurile mele – trebuie sa-ti creezi un cont. Poti face asta direct din aplicatie prin intermediul conturilor tale sociale.

Dupa ce te-ai logat in contul tau poti sa:

- Adaugi o locatie noua folosind functia Adauga. Trebuie sa introduci cateva date despre obiectivul respectiv si o descriere de maxim 100 de caractere. Poti de asemenea sa adaugi mai multe fotografii realizate cu telefon sau deja existente in memoria telefonului.
Locatia nu va fi adaugata instant, va trece printr-o etapa de moderare pentru a evita postarea de informatii incorecte sau necorespunzatoare.

- Afli ce locuri interesante sunt in apropiere. La click pe “Locatia mea” din meniu, vei vedea pozitia ta exacta pe harta si toate obiectivele marcate in zona respectiva.

- Salvezi locurile care ti-au placut cel mai mult intr-o lista de Favorite.

- Poti adauga oricate obiective doresti, le poti posta descrierea pe Twitter si revedea oricand doresti. Ele vor fi salvate automat intr-o lista - "Locurile mele"

Where's the closest low clearance location? Is it on your route or should you alter your plans. The Low Clearance app knows about thousands of locations. And you can easily know too. Low Clearance checks your location and displays all low overpass and low bridge points on a map view when you have service. If you don't have service, there is a manual look up by state and city. Don't get caught by surprise with low heights on your route.

Planning ahead for other places? Type a city in the search box and jump there on the map.

- Color icons for each foot of height from 7 to over 15 feet.
- Find low bridges around you on the map view or a simple text list.
- No service? Use the in-app manual lookup.
- Tap a location for more information such as distance from your current location, height and directions.
- Most importantly as things changes, you can easily report errors, changes, closures or post important comments from each locations detail view.

For all features and best results, a GPS enabled device is recommended. The data is stored locally on your device. This data is US only right now.

We all know that recycling is important and that we should be looking to recycle and re-use as many of the earth’s precious natural resources as possible, but sometimes finding WHERE you can recycle a particular item can be quite an effort. The Find Recycling app allows you to locate various recycling points around your current location and will then guide you there with a map. You can also search for recycling points elsewhere via a simple place name or postcode search to help friends or relatives properly dispose of their old waste from glass bottles to batteries to TV’s.

Built-in coverage varies by country & city. Some areas have near complete coverage while other areas are less well covered - if at all in some cases - so please check coverage for your area below prior to purchase:

There are recycling points all over the world in this app already but we know that we have not mapped them all yet and so we’d like your help. If we don't have your local recycling center then please add it and help other users in your area to do their bit for the planet too; if you know extra details about a recycling point that we already have, then you can similarly update its details. To add a new location, simply stand in front of it with your Android phone and tick the types of recycling offered. If you know it, you can add the name of the center and the opening hours in too, but it's not required. We'll then check your submission and feed the update back into our database to help all future users.
