FlightIntel for Pilots is designed to be a resource to a pilot during all phases of a flight. It provides detailed information about 5500+ US public airports. It also aims to be useful during every phase of the flight. It is like having the printed Airport/Facility Directory (A/FD) on your phone and much more. AF/D data is downloaded to your phone and is available for offline use.

* US Airports only. Please do not install if you are looking for anything else. Please do not leave bad ratings because database does not contain other countries. I never said it did. I am sick of people doing this. Apparently they cannot read.

FlightIntel is ad-free and is available free of charge on the Market. I am a pilot hence the app is strongly focused to provide all the relevant information for pilots. I hope other pilots find it useful too. Please make sure to leave comments to tell me what you like and what you don't.

FlightIntel uses the National Airspace System data published by FAA on a 56-day cycle. This data includes information on airports, runways, communication and navaids.

FlightIntel is location-aware and can list airports around a user's location. It also provides heading and distance data to these airports. This information is updated automatically as the user moves around.

FlightIntel also lists navaids around an airports and provides radial/heading information. Selecting a navaid brings up detailed information about the navaid including any remarks.

The app requires "Call Phone" permission to allow it to call the phone numbers when you tap on them. You can directly call the phone numbers displayed by simply tapping on them. The application does not make any calls by itself.

Very helpful at 10k feet I used it to plan my route before calling flight service for briefing. Was able to check destination weather when I could not reach flight service or ATIS/AWOS & decide on which of the two airports had less wind gust for landing. The airport info were very handy, too. Author is responsive to emails

Wonderful App This app is a great tool to have. Its digital AF/D and Current NOAA weather is presented for weather stations nearby the airport. It lists nearby airports based on gps location--a great safety tool if you're in the air and must divert to another airport. Fast friendly help from the developer and...... This is FREE! 5 Stars for sure!

Didn't think much of it at first But soon realized that this is a very useful tool! Having an AFD in your pocket is very handy. Plus it's always up to date. I can get runway data while seating in the plane. Also, having instant access to current weather, NOTAMs, and charts, makes this app a must have. Thumbs up! Update!!! I asked the developer if he could add ATC phone numbers, and he did. This app is now such a great resource! Love it. Thank you!

Very good... One bug noted, Hawaii, Alaska, and Pacific time zones all show UTC -7:00 which is incorrect. Otherwise Flightintel is an amazing app-those words coming from a flight service specialist!
