Spare Parts Plus! PRO allows you to enable and change some hidden settings of your Android device. This app is based on the open code provided by Google but updated to work with Android 2.33 GingerBread and tested on CyanogenMod7.

Note that stock GingerBread ROMs do not have the Battery History activity. You need CM7 or Custom Rom to see this. I am working on a fix for a future version.

For example:

- Enable/Disable compatibility mode to allow Apps to work at full screen size on Galaxy Tab and other large screen devices
- Control windows animation speeds or disable them entirely to speed up your device!
- Control windows transition speeds or disable them entirely to speed up your device!
- Control haptic feedback
- View battery history and information
- View usage statistics
- Control WiFi sleep policy to keep WiFi connected
- No annoying AdMob adverts
- And much, much more!

Warning: some ROMs do not have battery history activity built-in. The app will force close if you try to run and this activity is not built into the ROM.

A note on permissions: the program requests the following permissions:

  - It's strongly advised to use passwords at least 8 characters length.
  - NOTE: the Private Key authentication WILL NOT WORK on Android OS ver less than 2.3 (Android Platform known issue).

•We strongly advise to keep your device Wi-Fi connection UP in device sleep mode. This will allow vmwClient to proceed normally in device sleep mode and prevent any lags, data loss (pulled from the network) and usage of 3G instead of Wi-Fi.

To keep your device Wi-Fi connection up in sleep mode go to Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi settings then press device 'Menu' button and press 'Advanced'. Set Wi-Fi sleep policy to 'Never'.

PocketSensor - FREE TRIAL (v. 1.1)

PocketSensor uses your phone's built-in proximity sensor to automatically lock the phone when it is put in a pocket. With PocketSensor, you can forget about the power button - and about the lock screen, too!

With PocketSensor, once you put the phone in your pocket, the screen and the keys will lock automatically. And once you take it out of the pocket, the screen and the keys are unlocked automatically - with no finger swipe etc. needed...

Features:

- In order to prevent accidental triggering when you're holding the phone with both hands, the automatic keylock deactivates when the display is in landscape mode.

- With PocketSensor active, you can still lock/unlock the phone manually.

- When the phone is not in a pocket, any key will unlock the phone completely - bypassing the lock screen.

- Also when it has been locked manually, the phone will still unlock automatically. (Manual locking is not available when screen is in landscape mode.)

- When in a pocket, all keys - including the power key - will be locked. (Perfect for those phones where the power key gets pressed accidentally when in a pocket...)


(NOTE: Depending on the exact position of the proximity sensor, the screen may lock while you are attempting to access the notification bar. In this case, access the notification bar from its other end.)


FREE TRIAL VERSION: The Automatic Keylock will stay active for a limited time only. You can reactivate the Automatic Keylock from the PocketSensor screen. (In the Trial Version, autostart on bootup is disabled.)
