Contacts application, with nice graphic user interface, and much better look than stock app. Fast, pretty and simple user interface, with contacts list from phone with names and phone numbers, with options for call and send sms. From the menu, you can add new contact.

Option to jump with characters, letters list, on the right side, brings you directly to contacts, with that first letter.

Not supported for 320x240 resolution.

Your phone knows its location by trangulating the position of several GPS Satellites.  Use GPSView to see where these GPS Satellites are.

When a GPS signal is detected by your phone, a satellite will appear on the map.  The position of the satellite is calculated as the spot on earth that the satellite is directly above.  More information for how this is calculated can be found on this blog post.

Hi John (February 8, 2011), I had to use the location to get the satellite azimuth and elevation.  There really is no other way.

Save battery by turning your Wifi on temporarily for a specific period of time with this simple widget.
This allows your phone to sync with Gmail and other internet stuff.

Excellent for battery saving.
Very good when you are in a place that has Wifi and don't need the phone to be connected all the time (like in your home or office).

Usage:

Add the widget to your home screen by long pressing the home screen and select Widget-> Temporary Wifi.
A setting page will appear where you can set the number of seconds or minutes you want the Wifi to be on.

Click the widget icon and the Wifi will turn on. Once the specified time elapses, Wifi will turn off automatically.

Pink icon -> Wifi off
Green icon -> wifi on

If icon is green, clicking it will disable Wifi.
