With XMPP-Channel you have the possibility to control RPC-Base and it's Plugins via XMPP. XMPP, also known as Jabber, is a free Instant Messaging Protocol. To secure the connection, XMPP-Channel supports Off-The-Record-Messaging (OTR). This encryption method is supported by some IM clients, e.g. Pidgin. Google Talk is also based on XMPP. For this reason, GTalk-Server and GTalk-Client can be used for XMPP-Channel as well. But notice that GTalk-Client does not support OTR.
