MobiPerf is a useful tool to measure your mobile network. MobiPerf evolves from 3GTest@Android.

Using MobiPerf, you will have a good knowledge of your smartphone's 3G network properties, such as local / global  IP address, upload / download bandwidth (kbps), signal strength, DNS lookup latency (ms), PING latencies (ms), TCP connection establishment latencies (ms), HTTP benchmark downloading latencies (ms), and much more.

You can also easily diagnose any network problems, even some hidden traffic policies imposed by your cellular carriers. For example, you can test whether BitTorrrent traffic is blocked by your ISP. You can also test whether FTP, SSH, POP, SMTP, HTTPS ports are blocked by your ISP or not.

All the results are refreshed each time you run our tool, so we encourage you to run it at different time and different locations, in this way, you can compare the scores of your 3G network at different times of day and at different locations.

SMS-Filter handles incoming SMS messages up on rules and is able to block SMS, show a notification, click links within SMS messages, call a web service and write events to a log.

Messages can be easily filtered and SMS contents can be transmitted to a URL of a web service via GET parameter:

Rules can be defined as regular expressions for a senders address and a message body:

Summary:
This program sends acoustic signals to ocean bottom seismic (OBS) releases that use the Edgetech/ORE acoustic release communications protocol. It is useful when testing the releases in air.  An external amplified speaker may be required for optimal performance since some phones cannot provide enough acoustic  energy to trigger the release.

A CSV file may be read in by the application and used as a database of commands.

COM Port 4 Android (CP4A) is a serial communication utility, which combines network and real or virtual serial COM ports into one. The CP4A.apk provides a quick, simple and cost-effective way to bring the advantages of data accessibility and remote management to equipment not currently connected to a network (e.g. temperature sensor, voltmeters, heart-rate detectors, security systems and many more).

Since most Android phones and Tablet-PC do not dispose serial interfaces, this utility allows you to share up to 32 port devices over any TCP/IP network.

Using a method called serial tunneling, the CP4A encapsulates serial data into packets and transports it over Ethernet. CP4A has especially been developed for interconnecting Android devices with the COM ports of your PC. And if your PC does not keep COM ports you may use virtual COM Ports working over USB port.

Please take into account that this APP has been created for Android developer and programmer who like to share COM ports with their application. Most likely you cannot connect any 3-party apps with CP4A unless this apps support a set of ASCII command strings (see CP4A manual) and a local network connection (via IP: 127.0.0.1).
