Bad Habit Box is based on the practice of keeping a swear box. The basic rules of a swear box are that for every time the owner of the box swears they insert a predetermined amount of money - a penalty for their action. Over time the owner swears less because of the associated penalty until finally they eliminate their swearing completely.

Bad Habit Box takes this basic idea but applies it to all bad habits the user wishes to eliminate.

Users can monitor multiple bad habits and assign each habit a different money penalty. Every time you commit one of your bad habits, touch the name of the habit in the list and the penalty amount will be added to your outstanding debt. Once you are ready to pay off your debt you can use the "Pay Outstanding Debt" feature to optionally navigate you to a charity website, banking website or user specified location in order to pay off your debt.

For any habit the user can view a "Habit History" to track how many times they have committed the habit over time.

Bad Habit Box is currently only available in English with plans to translate to further languages as requested. Multiple currencies are available.

The app will work on any handset but is not recommended for users of tablet devices.

Scansfer is a phone-to-phone data transfer app utilizing QR code technology to allow you to simply scan and transfer files (up to 6 MB), Apps, Contacts, Bookmarks, and now, Money using your PayPal account.

Sending Files:

The Scansfer app securely transfers files from your phone to Scansfer.com, and generates a private download key, only accessible by scanning a distinct QR code. The QR code can then be scanned from any other mobile device equipped with a camera and bar code scanner app to instantly download the file. The app can also transfer files from your phone to Scansfer.com to be downloaded to a PC, plus the website allows you to generate QR codes to transfer files from your computer to your phone.

Sending Apps:

Scansfer provides two methods for sharing apps:
1. If an app is available in the Android Market, Scansfer allows you to send a quick download link to other Android phones to download the latest version of the app.
2. You can also send the original install package (APK) allowing you to share any free app installed on your phone. Note: this feature is NOT to be used to share paid apps. Please read all license agreements for your apps to make make sure you are allowed to share them.

Sharing Contacts and Bookmarks:

Scansfer can also generate QR codes to share Contacts from your address book as well as Bookmarks from your browser.

PayPal Payments:

Now you can use Scansfer to generate QR code payment requests from your phone. Simply enter a brief description of the transaction and an amount, and have the person paying you scan the QR code. Payment QR codes can be scanned using any mobile device with a bar code scanner (the person sending the payment does not need to have Scansfer installed).

Back in the old days when smart-phones are not the rage yet, the phones we have usually have those keypad lock mechanism. It help to prevent accidental press of buttons on the phone when we tuck our phones into pockets or bags etc. Then when we want to use the phone again, we unlock the keypad lock.

Fast forward to current smart-phones mania. Android has a similar keypad lock mechanism built in. When you do not use yours for a while, the screen goes off and then when you want to use again, the screen turns on and the keypad locked. Depending on which Android phone manufacturer you bought from, you can do some settings change to control this behavoir to a certain extent but it may not be entirely satisfactory.

The complain is the number of swipes needed to unlock the keypad can be a lot if you multiply the number of times you do that each day x 365 days. This app helps to do away with those time-wasting swipes to unlock the keypad. It uses a simple idea. If the screen is turn off, then the keypad is locked automatically. When you want to use and the screen turn on, the keypad is unlocked automatically. To start this behavoir, tap "Start". To stop this behavoir, tap "Stop". It is that simple.

Please note this is a software approach so if there are manufacturer proprietary settings control or third party apps like Screen Lock with password etc feature, it cannot override. You can turn that off and then this app will work as advertised. It works purely based on Google provided Android SDK.

The application support English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese display.
