The best and easy to use Drudge Report reader on the Android Market and the only one with a widget and tablet UI.

Easily read articles and see images/watch videos from the Drudge Report (drudgereport.com) specifically formatted for your mobile device.

Articles are parsed and formatted in a "Readability" like manner.

Share the articles with friends by sms, email, twitter, facebook, etc. Use the share option from the options menu or from the Action bar. When sharing the link is prepopulated and you can add some personal text at the end.

A widget is also included that can scroll through the latest links.

Note: If you receive an error loading a link, you may be able to use the view original button in the Action bar to load the article. The formatter still has a few issues with certain web sites.

Planned Features:
Gesture controls.
Searching previous articles.

The READ_PHONE_STATE permission is required by the ad network. The only data sent is the device id to be used as a unique identifier. The same data is sent to Google every time you turn your phone on.

A pro version is available that does not contain any ads and does not require this permission.

Dieses Startseiten-Widget zeigt an, welche historischen Ereignisse sich am heutigen Tag ereignet haben (Jahrestag). Die Daten werden von der Startseite der deutschen Wikipedia heruntergeladen und aufbereitet, deshalb hat das Widget auch keinen Einfluss auf die Auswahl der Ereignisse.

Der Stil des Widgets kann angepasst werden.

Falls es Probleme gibt, einfach das Widget löschen und neu hinzufügen.

Dieses Widget steht unter GPL3, ist also OpenSource. Der Quellcode kann auf www.dbruhn.de heruntergeladen werden.

Recent changes:
- Bei Ereignissen, die genau ein Jahr zurück liegen wird ein grammatikalisch korrekter Titel angezeigt.
- Das Drücken der Suchen-Taste führt nicht mehr zu einem Absturz.

Home Screen widget displaying what happened today in history, also called "On This Day" or "Today in history".  The data is downloaded and parsed from the English Wikipedia, so the widget got no influence on which events are choosen, this only depends on Wikipedia. You can select the style of the widget.

If you got problems with the widget, try removing and readding it.

Recent changes:
- Widget shows a gramatically correct title if event is one year ago.
- Widget doesn't crash if search-button is pressed.
