Synthoid is an analog style synthesizer that you control using the touch screen and accelerometer of your phone.

It contains a real time synth model that generates the wave forms and reacts to your control inputs.

You can control synthoid like a ribbon synth using the touchscreen of your phone, or like a theremin by moving your phone about in the air.

The various parameters can be mapped to the different control inputs so that you can customise the control scheme.

User patches can be created and saved alongside the built in presets.

The sounds rang from spooky sci-fi soundtrack theremin warbles to thick fat detuned saw-bass sounds.

The synth model features:
3 Audio Oscillators
2 LFOs
5 Wave Types - Saw, Inverse Saw, Square, Triangle and Sin
Configurable Attack/Decay envelope
Preset and user patches
Fully assignable controls

There are audio preferences that allow you to customize the performance parameters to match the capabilities of your phone.

NOTICE: As of 8 july 2011 version 3.0.0 of NDT does not support Android 1.6 anymore, only 2.0 and higher. Android 1.6 users should just keep their current version, it should keep on working as it is.

@Moises: if it's slow then your connection is probably less than 3G. The speed also depends on the performance of the stores NDT gets its data from. Genres etc are all provided by those stores.

@joshua: if you only see one store show up, most likely you're browsing a genre that is only from that store. Or the other stores just haven't released any track lately in that genre.

@jess: no previews? Did you drill down to the track level? Every track has an audio preview for sure!

@Paul Beynon: tech house, minimal plus about 50 other genres should be listed. Maybe a network glitch?

Call of the Wild is a tale about unbreakable spirit and the fight for survival in the frozen Alaska.

Buck (a dog that is half St Bernard and half Shepherd) has a good life. He's friendly with his master. He escorts the kids when they take walks. He hunts with the men on the grounds.
This story is told from the perspective of Buck.

But one day, Buck's life changes forever. One of the gardener's hired hands needs money and decides to kidnap and sell Buck.

Dogs are in high demand because of the Alaskan gold rush and he'll get a good price for a dog like Buck.

Gold was found in Alaska, the rush to obtain it required a strong constitution and many dogs to do the work that horses usually did in the states.

The environment breeds harsh conditions. Also in the testing of one’s mettle, one finds own true potential.

Buck not only conquers the weather, the harshness of the men, the other dogs and the wolves he comes into contact with, he also thrives.

Buck goes through many lives, trials, and tribulations finally realizing his potential. On the way he learns many concepts from surprise, deceit and cunning; he also learns loyalty, devotion, and love.

As he is growing he feels the call of the wild.

Jack London truly brings Buck to life.

You will feel joy and satisfaction at Buck's refusal to surrender and his ability to find his own kind of happiness in the harsh world in which he is placed.

Call of the Wild is regarded as Jack London's masterpiece.

Lady Susan (Audio Book) (v. 1.0)

Written in epistolary style, it is the story of Lady Susan, a beautiful, recent widow with no conscience, a woman who is determined to do exactly what she wants to do, to charm and/or seduce any man who appeals to her, and to secure a proper marriage for her teenage daughter, whom she considers both unintelligent and lacking in charm.

Lady Susan, the character, has no redeeming qualities, other than her single-mindedness, and her problems, entirely self-imposed, show the extremes to which an unprincipled woman will go to ensure her own pleasure and ultimately a more secure, comfortable life.

As Lady Susan manipulates men, women, and even her young nieces and nephews, her venality knows no bounds, and when she determines that her daughter Frederica WILL marry Sir James, a man who utterly repulses her, Lady Susan's love of power and her willingness to create whatever "truth" best suits her purpose become obvious.

Most Austen fans will find the piece interesting. Some like the character herself, Lady Susan, because she is a strong character and that is the attraction of the work.

It shows Austen as a more playful novelist than in her other novels, an author who is obviously having fun introducing a wild card like Lady Susan into polite society to show how ill-equipped men are to deal with someone so clever.

Though Lady Susan is considered part of Jane Austen's "juvenilia," having been written ca. 1805, it was not published till well after Jane Austen's death.

A magnificently crafted novel of Regency manners that will delight Austen enthusiasts with its wit and elegant expression.
