3 Doors Down is a post-grunge band from Escatawpa, Mississippi, United States, formed in 1996, consisting of Brad Arnold (vocals), Matt Roberts (guitars), Todd Harrell (bass), Chris Henderson (guitar), and Greg Upchurch (drums).

The band signed to Universal Records in 2000 for their first album, The Better Life. They received international attention with the release of the single “Kryptonite”. The album went on to sell over 6 million copies.

La Roux are an English electropop and synthpop duo formed in 2008 in London, England, UK, made up of singer/synth player Elly Jackson (born 12 March 1988) and co-writer/co-producer Ben Langmaid. Their music is largely influenced by 80s pop music including Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, The Human League, Heaven 17, Yazoo and Prince.

The name La Roux (pronounced lah-roo) is reported to be chosen when Elly found it in a book of baby names. La Roux comes from the mix of the French masculine word for “redhead” and the feminine article for “the”, referring to Jackson’s distinctive hairstyle.

Bob Marley (February 6, 1945 – May 11, 1981), born Nesta Robert Marley which was later to be changed by passport officials to Robert Nesta Marley, was a Jamaican singer-songwriter, guitarist, and activist. He was the most widely known writer and performer of reggae, and more specifically roots reggae. He is famous for popularising the genre outside of Jamaica and the Caribbean. Much of his music dealt with the struggles of the spiritually wealthy rasta and/or spiritually powerful Jah Rastafari.
