Blood Alcohol Calculator (v. 1.10)

This widget allows you to track your blood alcohol while you drink. You enter your gender and weight, setup up the drinks you're going to be drinking and then just click the icon each time you get a drink.

How much alcohol is in your drink?
Glass of wine is usually 5 ounces and 12% alcohol, the alcohol is mixed through the entire volume so the 5 ounces is the volume

Beer often in 12 ounce cans or bottles, pints are 16 ounces. Like wine the alcohol is mixed throughout the entire drink so the volume to enter is the 12 or 16 or whatever the drink volume is.

Shots are small a ture measure is 1.5 ounces, but it's very common to get an over pour here. The distance between the white line mease and top of a shot glass is another .5 ounces (33% more than you thought) The alcohol is mixed throughout the volume.

Now the tricky stuff, mixed drinks like Jack and Coke, a manhattan, a martini, etc. These drinks have a mixer. The mixer is non-alcoholic so none of its volume counts, it's the shot they pour into the mixed drink that matters, so like shots, most mixed drinks are 1.5 ounces of alcohol.

*** I hope to put some better guidance in the tool, but with mobile apps space is at a premium.

Track as many people and your home scrrens will allow for. Setup up to 3 drinks per person you track.

When setting up the drinks, remember these tips:
1. Proof is twice the percentage of alcohol; 80 proof = 40% alcohol.
2. Most American beers are about 5% alcohol. Most say on the side of the bottle or can.
3. Most wines are 12% alcohol, but again check the label.
4. A shot or a mixed drink, Jack n Coke is 1.5 ounces of alcohol.

6. Can and bottles of beer are typically 12 ounces, but it's always marked on the label.
7. Pints are usually 16 ounces.

Now on the setup screen, you can share teh BAC Widget with your friends via SMS, EMail or even Facebook.

  Just under the BAC value you will see sober when your BAC = 0 or the estimated time when you will reach 0.
Color coded BAC
  Red is legally drunk >= .08
  Blue is impaired >= .02
  Green is < .02
Display time of last drink

National averages show that a healthy liver can metabolize (get rid of) .015 BAC per hour. You may be lucky and metabolize more or sadly, metabolize less.

If you do get pulled over, this application is no defense and the officer doesn't care what it says. The application uses tusted formulas for estimating your BAC, but only a blood test can tell for sure.

Drinking and driving is dangerous and illegal. Most states have a legal threshold of .08 BAC. That means you are legally drunk; but you can be under the influence with far less alcohol. Most experts note that 0.0% BAC is the only safe driving level. Drink Responsibly.

The cuisine of the United States is extremely diverse, owing to the vastness of the continent, the relatively large population (1/3 of a billion people) and the number of native and immigrant influences. Mainstream American culinary arts are similar to those in other Western countries. Wheat is the primary cereal grain. Traditional American cuisine uses ingredients such as turkey, white-tailed deer venison, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, squash, and maple syrup, indigenous foods employed by American Indians and early European settlers. Slow-cooked pork and beef barbecue, crab cakes, potato chips, cotton candy and chocolate chip cookies are distinctively American styles.

The types of food served at home vary greatly and depend upon the region of the country and the family's own cultural heritage. Recent immigrants tend to eat food similar to that of their country of origin, and Americanized versions of these cultural foods, such as American Chinese cuisine or Italian-American cuisine often eventually appear; an example is Vietnamese cuisine, Korean cuisine and Thai cuisine. German cuisine has a profound impact on American cuisine, especially mid-western cuisine, with potatoes, noodles, roasts, stews and cakes/pastries being the most iconic ingredients in both cuisines. Dishes such as the hamburger, pot roast, baked ham and hot dogs are examples of American dishes derived from German cuisine. Different regions of the United States have their own cuisine and styles of cooking. The state of Louisiana, for example, is known for its Cajun and Creole cooking. Cajun and Creole cooking are influenced by French, Acadian, and Haitian cooking, although the dishes themselves are original and unique. Examples include Crawfish Etouffee, Red Beans and Rice, Seafood or Chicken Gumbo, Jambalaya, and Boudin. Italian, German, Hungarian and Chinese influences, traditional Native American, Caribbean, Mexican and Greek dishes have also diffused into the general American repertoire. It is not uncommon for a """"middle class"""" family from """"middle America"""" to eat, for example, restaurant pizza, home-made pizza, enchiladas con carne, chicken paprikas, beef stroganof and bratwurst with sauerkraut for dinner throughout a single week. Soul food,developed by African slaves, is popular around the South and among many African Americans elsewhere. Syncretic cuisines such as Louisiana creole, Cajun,Pennsylvania Dutch, and Tex-Mex are regionally important. Iconic American dishes such as apple pie, fried chicken, pizza, hamburgers, and hot dogs derive from the recipes of various immigrants and domestic innovations. So-called French fries, Mexican dishes such as burritos and tacos, and pasta dishes freely adapted from Italian sources are consumed.

Masjid Timetable does what no other masjid app does. It gives you your very own LOCAL masjid salah times.

Now, you don't have to download generic apps and then adjust for your locality, minutes, degrees and variations.

If you receive a piece of paper every month from your masjid (which you hang on the wall) and then refer to every time you need to know the beginning time or the jamaat time within the masjid, then this app will be extremely convenient for you.

Simply pull out your phone, press the app button - Lo! the beginning & jamaat times are displayed right there in front of you, for that same day.

Furthermore, you can view the whole month's timetable too. Just swipe one way and its all available, whether it be beginning or jamaat times.

You also have the ability to input a secondary masjid. This way, you can check the monthly timetable for that masjid too.

So how does this work?

Masjid organisers/members visit the lentrica software site at http://www.lentricasoftware.com/masjid

They download our MS excel template, fill it in (or paste from own excel sheet) with times spanning as long as they want and then re-upload it back to our site.

As soon as that file is uploaded back to our site, every person who has this app can immediately use the timetable for that masjid within the app.

If your own masjid has not yet uploaded their times, obtain the masjid's timetable in excel format and simply copy from that file into our template.
Then upload it and inshallah, for every person who uses that timetable within the app, you shall receive a reward.
