De applicatie is voor iedereen gratis te gebruiken voor het bekijken van waarnemingen. Alleen het actief ontvangen en verzenden van berichten is voorbehouden aan leden van Dutch Bird Alerts (€ 3 per maand, voor meer info zie http://www.dutchbirdalerts.nl/subscription.action).

Die deutsche Küche ist äußerst vielfältig und variiert stark von Region zu Region. Bekannt ist Deutschland vor allem für seine deftigen und schweren Gerichte wie gepökeltes Eisbein oder auch Kasseler mit Sauerkraut,Grünkohl mit geräucherter Mettwurst oder Bregenwurst sowie verschiedene Eintöpfe. Aber auch sehr alte und einfache Speisen wie zum Beispiel Arme Ritter oder Labskaus sind Tradition. Die regionale Küche ist außerdem von den umliegenden Ländern beeinflusst.

Ähnlich wie in anderen europäischen Staaten gibt es auch in Deutschland einen Trend weg von den traditionellen „schweren“ Speisen zu „leichterer“, fettärmerer Kost.
In Deutschland findet man eine landestypisch große Variationsbreite an herzhaften Brotsorten und Wurstaufschnitten. Traditionell wird mittags die warme Mahlzeit und abends eine Brotmahlzeit eingenommen. Der Tag beginnt meist mit einem Frühstück auf der Grundlage von Brot oder Brötchen/Semmeln, neben herzhaften sind süße Brotaufstriche (Honig, Marmeladen, Schokocremes usw.) und ein gekochtes Ei sehr beliebt. Sie werden zum Nachmittagskaffee gereicht. Im Bergischen Land wird die Bergische Kaffeetafel mit frischen Waffeln serviert.
